Here's a bizzare thing I noticed with reddit and "modded" Skyrim. It's not socially acceptable to use sex mods for Skyrim, but it is socially acceptable to use WickedWhims for the Sims 4, even though the content is the same and is hosted on the same site.

Since the Sims is a girl game (despite 40% of players being male), women use the mod and redditors are less likely to associate it with sexual deviancy due to benevolent sexism. Now I could go on and on, but I'm a coomer so I don't care, and you can't stop me from downloading whatever mod I want.

As a simmer the acceptance for sex in Sims 4 is because EA knows they can never make the franchise M rated as it sends the wrong kind of message about Sims that it has resorted to the same failed marketing methods their competitors made like Singles and Playboy the Mansions. Sims is more than watching your paper dolls bang if you choose to.

Meanwhile Skyrim sex modding is rooted firmly in sexual deviancy and misogyny. A majority of the SLab players usually play female characters with the explicit intention of being sexually violated by monsters and other things.

Everyone should read Kare Kano, irrespective of genre it's amazing. Also Angel Sanctuary too for a bit more risque content. The former was adapted by gainax into an anime (evangelion people) so you know it has depth if they got em to work on a slice of life romance show. The latter has some ovas which cover the first couple of its 20 volumes and they act as a good introduction but you will have to read the manga to get any closure with it while kare kano covers the first 7 volumes quite perfectly.

I went through a phase where I really liked vampires and most of the vampire fiction was romance-based. Even Anne Rice has her vampires getting very very gay throughout her books.

I kinda played Symphony of the Night and later watched Hellsing/Ultimate so I love vampires eternally now. Fav single vampire story is Dance in the Vampire Bund, it has romance but mainly crazy werewolf and vampire battles. Sexy as hell too. I think they censored the usa version of the anime in some releases, and this was like 2010s not mid 90s. They do this whole "is a 400 year old but she looks 10" thing and you think it's just one of those shows but no, she can actually turn adult too in this one. There's just a lot of vampire politics getting in the way.


Oh also I had a phase as a kid where I would watch the dracula comedy with Leslie Nielsen all the time. Must have been like 9 or so. Fun times.

I mean, it worked out great for Play-Asia. Really got their rage dollar on that one, even if they don't get my dollars anymore

They also like, quadrupled their twitter following since they stood against people trying to badmouth them for marketing their offering of the game in English. I know some of the folks who work/worked their social media during their time so it was a hilarious thing to see how much it backfired trying to censor this game.


Also the narrative of it being some flop game without controversy in the west is actually ignorant. Since the game (which is like 6 years old or something at this point) has received countless updates, eventually being ported into pc and consoles with the subtitle Venus. It is still getting new characters created for it all this time later. I seriously doubt people would play the game for this long just for a hateboner. Especially since most folks who play this are in Japan.

While you're, of course, allowed to make your own game how you want to, I can't help but laugh at the ridiculous given reasoning behind it.

You take "the battle" less seriously because other players are using characters they find the most enjoyable to use rather than being forced to choose between mechanical advantage(s) and the character model they most like? Why do you need to limit others' enjoyment of the game to take it seriously? What would be the perfect ratio of male to female player characters to make you take a game seriously?

Also, using "females" vs "men" in your very first sentence throws all kinds of red flags regarding your true reasoning beyond the hilarity you wrote.

Don't know why they would start now, since that character gameplay type has already existed for 30 years now. Fighting games still have plenty of females that are fragile speedsters (though not all). Look at Street Fighter.

No idea what multiplayer shooters you've been playing, but this kind of conveys a failure of imagination.

I mean, take Overwatch for example. Its female characters range from the fast and fragile (e.g. Tracer), to the heavy but resilient (e.g. Orisa and Zarya), to everyone in between (e.g. Pharah and Ashe). The male characters similarly run the same gamete. This being a game with 15 female characters and 17 male ones.

It's a pretty boring world if all the female characters end up in one role/body type, and all the male characters in another. And yeah, sure, on average you'd veer one way or another based on sex, but to make it a hard rule?

Depending on what game it is you have, having a smaller hitbox is insanely OP. Like think of Yoda in Soul Calibur 4. That guy just stood still and half the horizontal moves would whiff him lol. Also in a lot of fighting games the big boi chars usually have unique combos that only work on them cause they're so big. Including unique mixups.


If anyone should complain here it'd be the guys.

I didn't think he meant shooters, just more broad hitboxes. I specialize in fighters so that's where my brain mainly went.

Lord this is the most regressive gamer bruh response I have seen on here. If this is the response we will get for having the audacity to just discuss sexism in gaming I rather just stick to reddit, gamefaqs and bleh the 4chan. In fact skip 4chan the first two a sewage enough.

Actually, in a multiplayer shooter, I wouldn't even let the player choose their sex. It would be chosen for them at random, along with all the benefits and drawbacks of each. Even though I generally prefer playing as women, there would be a higher ratio of men.

Skip all the above. GameFAQS literally has nothing left since 2009. They're not that much different from Reddit. Both are echo chamber forums with users that have sticks up their asses. There are better people on the GF forum, but it's not worth going to the site for. Seriously, fuck GF! They've had the same site lay out since the early 2000s with only a few changes here and there.

Chun Li and Cammy had less max life due to being women. They still do, but they share this with some other chars who are feeble/old or somehow lore-based to have something crippling their life force like Akuma, and really big guys like Zangief and Alex have higher than average life. It's more of a balancing mechanism though cause those girls tend to be offensive powerhouses while the big guys will get poked a lot as they try to get in cause they're mainly slow, big button chars who wanna be super close to you and need to have more chances. Not much realism needed in a game with a green electric jungle Brazilian monster.

That's the thing though, it depends on which game or version of the game you are playing. Sometimes Chun-Li goes to Lightning Bruiser (SF III). Other times she's a Fragile Speedster (SF Alpha & SF IV), or a weird in-between with most of the crossover games. Hell, all of the women in SF have less health than all of the men. All of them. Even ripped girls and women like Elena, R. Mika, and Makoto. So even the female Mighty Glaciers or Lightning Bruisers get more health than their fragile counterparts, but still less than the men.
