Whatever, just wash your hands.
Garron/Talbain isn't a furry, he's a werewolf, he has a normal human form too.

Felicia is just a Nekomata, she doesn't really ever transform out of those paws.

Also, he shows a lot more % of skin than she does.
Yes yes, I said that. My point was just the sexual dimorphism that anime loves. Girls have to be human but men can be beasts.

Its like that with females, males tend to either very furry or just furry on that chart.
It's mainly cause cat girls and what have you are generally seen as cute, and a lot of male chars are not designed to be cute but cool or badass, so some big alligator man or something like from Killing Bites is much cooler than a prettyboy with a scaly tale and some chompers. So it's more "how do we make a unique feeling cute char, oh I know, lets make her a cat girl" and less "lets make a cool animal/furry char!". Basically the reason for making guys and girls into furries differs so they get made into different sorts of furries.

I think its more that "guys are cool and girls are traditionally sexy."

I mean, they'd probably be dehydrated. But sure their skin is flawless, would you be happy if they had a bit of acne or some blemishes. Seems like small potatoes to make any difference, and really unnecessary considering it's fantasy. The same way actors tend to be too good looking in most cases. You just hand wave that shit away because it's obviously a movie and fake as fuck.
So, you want "realism" if it means no fatties, but not realism is fine if they're hot?

Kind of exactly what we're talking about

Actually, what exactly does the "female gaze" like? Does anyone here have an idea? And I don't just mean what appeals to women in male characters, what do the women like in the designs of female characters?
I reckon it's fashion and girl boss types. Like being important and looking good doing it. Stereotypically women like complex personal drama, and that doesn't fit well in the games I mentioned.

What are you talking about? I didnt make a claim for realism. Im talking about the understanding of character design. When you are building a world and a character, often times you design based on aspects of who the character will be in your story.

If you are designing a military shooter, then your characters are going to look liked trained soldiers which means a certain body type more often than not. I think a lot of character designers dont even think about this aspect of the design too much because it just forms a natural picture in your head.

I feel like people are trying to justify having flabby bodies in media because of their own insecurities and lack of self control rather than "attractive" characters are an actual problem.

Lmao, I think the "military body type" is way more diverse than you think is realistic.

You know, judging from the bodies I see in the military

Especially if it's set in the past

Oh c'mon, you know this is about fulfilling the average American male's fantasy of being in a shape that isn't round.

Don't really see what it has to do with the point of the thread though considering, both are unconventional forms and seem to be examples of unique character design rather than the iterative hype sexual design ala Lara Croft or whatever.
Come again? That girl is about as generic looking as it gets for east Asian character design.

Just another scantily dressed little child with some kind of furry ears.

Nothing unconventional about it, just another paedophile's phantasy.

I did try Tera out on one of my F2P MMO trawls. Best action mmo combat I ever played. But the world design...ugh. The little groups of what are essentially toddlers hanging around in swimsuits in the hub areas always gave me the creeps. Part of me was curious as to what private chat was going on between them and the rest of me really didn't want to know.

I enjoyed playing as an armor clad knight Elin with a gigantic lance while beating up much scarier looking people several times my size. Not a fan of the "Loli baiting" aspect of the race though.

I think a more important question here would be; "Is having misogynistic sexual fantasies actually misogynistic?" because sure we can all define when something fits that in reality but people have all sorts of fantasies that we do not consider tantamount to the conduct had it been enacted in real life. Violent fantasies are not violence, rape fantasies are not rape, so on and so forth.
I would say yes and just accept it. Even though a huge percentage to a majority of people have rape or murder fantasies regularly, they are antisocial fantasies which will never be accepted in civilized nations.

There's a time and place to discuss those things and you should already know when and where. We all have labels, but you don't have to make it known to the world what they are.
The Japanese perspective in particular here is that a lot of the content they have serves as a release, an outlet for people to have those fantasies so that they in fact don't go and enact them in reality. Fundamentally, the views is that EVERYONE has such desires, and that it is not evil, but mere human nature, and we must handle it somehow.
The Japan perspective is pretty much the western one. Violence and pornography is bad but everyone likes it. There's nothing particularly chaste or perverse about modern Japan in comparison to the western world. The people who think so have a meme understanding and spout the exact same things over and over.

Japan had its own moral panics, they simply forgot about it because the safeguards moralists wanted were put in place and the media moved on. That's kind of like the US right now, there's no hysteria that kids are playing GTA V or watching hentai. There's no government agencies or watchdogs trying to ban Senran Kagura, because nobody cares or even knows about it except the insane twitter mob.

In the west, due to christian thought being the backbone of the civilization, we aspire to be more good than that, so we are imagining into being a type of human without such desires as being possible, and expecting folks to be that human, and judging those who fail at it (or those who fail to hide their failure).
They have that too, they imitate perfect humans known as the Buddhas. The material world is a transient realm, and reaching Buddhahood means being reborn in Heaven. It's not that different from being the image-bearer of God and being saved.

My concept of the moral person is not one without temptation, that person is either sheltered or ignorant. The moral person is the one who doesn't act on the temptation due to a sense of right and wrong.

Think of there being a weird meal that most folks would be squeamish about eating, something like I dunno, escargot in butter garlic sauce. Now, I love snails, grew up with them and all, but a lot of folks I know think of eating snails as being disgusting.

Now, imagine there's a covered plate of delicious escargot with a huge DO NOT EAT! sign on top of it and you have two people, one who is like me and loves his snails, and another who finds em disgusting and would not eat em in a thousand years. Both people don't eat the snails. Are they equally moral because they both followed the rule set by the owner of the snails?

To me, the person who'd actually want to eat the snails, but didn't, is actually the only moral one. The other person's lack of consumption has no bearing on their morality, cause they wouldn't have wanted to eat snails anyways.

So in fact, I don't see anything pertaining to the misogyny or lack thereof from people with no interest in a particular activity. Only those who are interested yet find ways to not enact their interest out of a concern for the human rights of women, despite what they may wish to do, are moral. Anything that helps those people keep being moral, is also moral by extension, and all the pure woke knights of brilliance and goodness are just sheltered, ignorant, or bad at lying and are hiding skeletons in their closet.

The buddhist right and wrong compass is kinda weird. I don't really get it fully but basically the root of evil is attachment and the order of the world is being temporary and ever-changing so being good at changing with the wind is a moral good, that's kinda the idea. Now out of that flow things like not being overly showy with material possessions and being humble because you are aware that it is all transitory and will be blown away in an instant, and a valuing of lack of attachment to worldly desires, but it's a more personal quest for betterment and not to make the buddha happy and have him accept you and reward you. He just did this thing and you wanna mimic him cause you think it's wise. And this is not even counting for all the Shino beliefs mixed into this which make it differ notably to the Indian variation.

It doesn't matter, both of you made the exact same choice when you saw the sign 'DO NOT EAT!' Other people can judge you for having the fortitude of resisting temptation or for having those temptations in the first place, but that is a judgement of character and not a choice.

No, the root of suffering is attachment. Evil is when you knowingly cause suffering to other living creatures.

Jesus and the church gave you a set of rules towards salvation. God is saving you from his absence, and sin is the rejection of his salvation. The Buddha gave you a path towards the cessation of suffering, and by alleviating or creating suffering it is a law of balance that you will be reborn in a higher or lower plane with more or less suffering.

What is it about these discussions that causes people to go insane?
Welcome to the anti-sexual content community, where former addicts attempt to avoid relapse when discussing it with shameless addicts who gloat about how great this is.
