It all makes sense now with the line from the original trailer,

Also, “We’re more ghosts than people.” is basically referring to the old Rockstar.
I dont know if I'd like that more or less. On one hand, little fox dude. On the other hand, little fox dude with amputated limbs, gangrene and PTSD if he survives the trenches.
