So, Google Stadia was a non-starter for me. It sounded like if I could even get it working well, I'd be shelling out $60 for games I already own.
But lately a number of things are becoming apparent.
Microsoft appears to be more interested in a gaming ecosystem with a ton of content than in hardware.
I just found out my Amazon Prime account comes with free games on a streaming service called Luna. Free is my favorite price so I tried it. I just played some Devil May Cry 5 without even having to have downloaded the game and it is terrific.
Then I just found out about something called GeForce, which has been around longer than any others at this time. It comes with a free play for an hour (a day? At a time you have to start again?) using my Steam, Ubisoft and Epic libraries anywhere. WHich seems nice but I've waited about 10 min in queue to play. There were some 270 players ahead of me. Some 10 min. later, there are 180. EDIT: Gave up after about 40 min. Later, I'm kicked out when I return. Trying again... took about 10 min and I'm in. 2nd Edit: Got in. Got an 7 year old business laptop to play a state of the art video game well enough.
Have you tried this stuff? Your thoughts?
