Look guys and gals, we gotta talk about it at some point:

Its...messy? Like I didn't know what they were going to do, and its refreshing to know Marvel doesn't either. I guess we're doing that comic arc with Lady Thor where Jane is dying of cancer, somehow becomes Lady Thor, and then dies. So that scene of Stormbreaker being used as a grave marker is her death then. And Zeus exists. And thus Hercules. Great. Can't wait for the 4th retcon to the Thor character where they pretend like something has been a thing this whole time, it just never came up in conversation. Olympians. 'cause those wouldn't have been useful during Infinity War or Endgame. An entire race of secondary Godlings and demiGods, just like over the next hill. Next bus stop. They were over for poker last week, should have seen it, it was great! Athena had her tits out!
And I guess we're doing a buddy love story with Starlord and Thor now? Sure, whatever, if Marvel doesn't care why should we.

Calling it now.

Jane isn't dying of cancer in this version and doesn't die at the end.

The grave marker is going to be for Black Widow ultimately when Thor ends up finding her.

Jane having been wiped from the universe by the snap comes back and finds out Thor saved everyone and thus is still out there and she joins SHIELD (we already know her friend joined up from Wanda Vision) and they found the pieces of Mjolnir that Hela smashed to pieces and either SHIELD build her the suit after putting the hammer back together and finding she can wield it.

In the MCU the Hammer doesn't turn you into Thor it's more a way to channel power for Thor so they can't do the whole "She's dying but turning into Thor makes her powerful" angle with it because basically otherwise Captain America would have turned into Thor before.

Satire aside, I imagine the GotG will be a brief cameo montage intro before they piss off to their own movie again and leave Thor on Earth.

I suspect they're going to sidestep the gibbering nonsense of the comics as thats a bit outlandish and overcomplicated even for the whackier hijinx side of MCU (tl;dr, Mjolnirs sentient, whosoever it decides to weild it is Thor. There's been 4 or 5 of them. The "Thor" thus far in the MCU is "Odinson", etc.)

The oft-repeated quip I've seen, which I assume was alluded to in some interview. Is that in the MCU Odin's enchantment said whoever was worthy could bear Mjolnir and "wield the power of Thor". While Odin himself basically said Thor was self-powered in Ragnarok. Nonetheless, his enchantment does that verbatim, and anyone whos "worthy" can pick up Mjolnir and use Thor's powers duplicated. While this does actually happen in Endgame with Cap whipping lightning at Thanos a few times, so can't say it was totally unset up. The explanation on how neither Thor nor any other potentially "worthy" person has touched the thing and randomly transformed is probably going to be unmentioned or unsatisifying.

(I'm kind of blanking on when Asgard moved to Earth as well. Cause wasn't Mjolnir in Ragnarok when it blew up. Even if they moved it onto their ship... Thanos wrecked that.... so when did they get ahold of the broken hammer parts?)

Really, the question is this film just swansonging Hemsworth off, or trying to set up Portman as Thor for Phase 2. Theres lack of teasing, ironically, to these current corp of films. We're two films deep into this phase so far, in Phase 1 they'd already started throwing out the Avengers hook by then. Shang Chi basically had nothing to say beyond "oh hey I'm here and the existing people know who I am", and No Way Homes teaser was thrown to the Sonyverse.

About all thats known (Barely, if you know who Kang was played by, and watched Loki) is Kangs the villain. A traditional Fantastic Four villain more then anything.
