Dark Souls still. Ornstein and Smough might be the worst boss in the entire game. The combat system strains under the weight of multiple enemies and it's impossible to keep them both on screen at the same time. This isn't the first time I've played the game, but these two are a chore every time I'm not a sorcerer. It's basically just luck if you get the opportunity to hit one without the other getting in a shot on you. And then they both just keep charging you over and over and over and you can't make distance or get an attack in or anything even though big fatty just shouldn't be able to move that fast. And the run back from the bonfire is just so long and annoying, needing to move that pillar twice.
Make use of the pillars in the room (even if destroyed there will be enough left to act as a defensive barrier when needed IIRC), and it’s typically better to go after Ornstein first because Smough is slower, and less aggressive in the second phase if the last one standing.

As I said, I've beaten them before (half a dozen times), I know how to do it. It just is a bad fight because of the way the lock on system works means most of the time one of them will be offscreen and they both have a ton of range and maneuverability.

Doesn’t Smough mostly waddle? I mean, he might have a jumping smash or something here and there but I recall being able to heal behind pillars and wait for him to approach. Then it’s basically playing ring around the Rosie and hacking away. I think I only locked on whenever my primary target was close enough to melee, as lock-on is very situational in these games even for boss fights.

Okay so Im trying out the Lego Skywalker Saga. Caveat Im a HUGE Star Wars fan. Even if I didn't like the Sequels, I just want more in this universe. Keep making the movies and Ill keep watching.
Just finished A New Hope. And I gotta say, this is bad Star Wars. Like its just bad at being Star Wars. Its not poorly done, and kinda fun, but its just not a good representation of Star Wars.
Like what are some scenes that immediately jump to mind when you think A New Hope? Maybe Luke seeing his destroyed home? Yeah, Lego Star Wars skips that scene. Han Solo shooting Greedo in the Cantina? Nope, got cut.
The Tie fighter attack. Its a classic scene! With the music and - nope. Not in this.
Well they're not going to skip the Death Star attack. You can't right? Its the climax of the movie! Its pop culture legend.

They skip the Death Star attack. You go straight into Luke being the last X-wing in the trench run, play for all of a minute, minute and a half and hit the exhaust port and its over. Just about every major action scene is skipped. I get that its a kid's game for little dummy heads but come on. Who skips the tie fighter ambush in a Star Wars video game?!
That's like making an Avengers game and skipping the whole "Avengers assemble" scene

I managed to get Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and the CoD4 Remaster on sale a week or so ago, so I have just been playing the latter.

And I finished it feeling a bit "bleh" about it, I guess. Sure, it has its standout moments. I really enjoyed the USMC portion of the campaign, and All Ghillied Up is a suitably iconic mission, but the rest of the campaign is just running around the woods/farms/farms in the woods, and it gets a bit samey, quick.

I would also say that the weapon sandbox is also a bit disappointing. Sure, there is only so much you can do with a modern/"realistic" shooter, but spawning the player with a rifle with a silencer/scope/grenade launcher every mission doesn't exactly make me want to explore many other options, other than picking up the occasional sniper or shotgun.

Its aged fine - but it doesn't exactly standout anymore, especially compared to the more bombastic campaigns of the later CoDs, and its imitators.

EDIT:
Oh, on a sidenote, the PC port is terrible. To get past the instant crash, I had to reboot Windows in safe mode, then launch the game and set it to Windowed mode, then I had to restart my PC again, and finally get into the game. Bizarre.

I played the Modern Warfare 2 Remaster, and I have got to say that it is markedly superior to the original in pretty much every way that I can think of.

There is so much more variety in almost every sense, and I just enjoyed my time with this game, much more.

The only thing that just really bothered me, was how overwhelming the game felt at times. I felt like a lot of my deaths were just bullshit and unfair. Enemies use hitscan weapons, and you have a small health pool, so you can die very, very quickly.

In most scenarios, you are either in cover, or taking damage, and two or three hits on the difficulty that I played, means you are dead. Often times, you are being shot at by enemies that you can't even see.

Its a bit frustrating.

So I'm still playing Xenoblade 2, and I still hate it.

The map system is terrible, but I finally, FINALLY, worked out where I was meant to go. I get to the ship that will take me from this Godforsaken zone and...oh. Oh. I have to do a fetch quest...get stuff for the ship...I have to go back the way I came and collect this junk and...and...

FUCK!

There's still a lot of killing and violence. It is a Wars game. And slavery and genocide and killing of children, yadda yadda.
They just skip random scenes. Like we don't get the Battle of Yavin, but they kept the Pod racing scene? Seriously?
Pod Racing is awesome though.

It is awesome, and that podracing 64 game is still one of the best star wars games out there. But in Lego star wars its kinda watered down, for little dummy kids, in that its impossible to lose. There are just scripted moments where other racers HAVE to drop behind you, and there's no point in actually driving, the game will auto-drive so long as you just hold A to go.
But still, pod racing and no death star attack?! Star wars malpractice I say!

That operation on Spider-Man after they bring him into the homeless shelter is funny. What did they actually do without taking off his clothes?

Spider-Man's villains are boring, judging from this game. My never really getting into it feels completely justified.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Against all odds, this was probably one of the best campaigns that I have played in a while.

This game is more ambitious than it has any right to be, and it succeeds in almost every regard.

It is a crying shame that this game will likely never get a true sequel.

High praise indeed.

Finished Spider-Man. Yeah, not very good. Feels very committee-made. Last PS4 game I bought, nearly three years ago, before Last of Us 2, which is supposed to come tomorrow. I have no idea why they told me that I couldn't upgrade anymore past that point if it was just a boss followed by the post-game in which you can do everything anyway. A needless spoiler, but I didn't care about the story anyway. Still, it wasn't some drawn out ending in several locations or something. Just the boss. Is this like a requirement for their open world games? Weird.

Among Us, a very good simulator of mob mentality kicking in during crises and making things worse. I imagine it's more fun with friends. Playing with anons as a crewmember your teammates are infinitely more dangerous than the imposters.

Playing The Last of Us 2 again cuz shut up! As much as it is what it is, the chapters 'Hillcrest' and 'The Seraphites' are SO good the game deserves a passing grade just for that.

Also playing Wind Waker again because happiness feels nice.
