I know this is joking about it, but man, sure is a lot of copium online over Cyberpunk Edgerunners' sad ending.
I suppose, lots of people hoping there'll be a second season that'll reveal David and/or Rebecca survived as constructs or something. Tho that betrays a woeful lack of genre savvy. Would also be a really cheap cop out if they actually did it.
Yes. I know some of this is done in jest, but there were good amount at least expecting a more uplifting bittersweet ending, assumed everything will work out fine, or they didn't know what to expect. I already knew from the get-go that the anime was not going to have a happy ending. It's cyberpunk, you don't even have to be that familiar with animated realize that. Though when I saw the show, it reminded me a lot of the Gungrave anime, but Edgerunners is better and faster paced.
