Today, for you:

Saints Row IV Re-Elected & Wildcat Gun Machine

Saints Row IV Re-Elected & Wildcat Gun Machine will be free at Epic Games Store until December 8th at 5PM (your local time). As always, you can get the game through the link above, or straight from the Epic Games launcher. Either way, the game will be added directly to your Epic Games library.
You're the President now! The Saints have gone from the Penthouse to the White House - but Earth has been invaded and it’s up to you to save it with an arsenal of superpowers and strange weapons, in the wildest open world game ever.
Wildcat Gun Machine is a bullet hell dungeon crawler where you take on hordes of disgusting flesh beasts with a wide variety of guns, giant mech robots, and cute kittens.
Have a look if interested, and enjoy.

Next week's freebie(s) will be a mystery game.

As a point of clarification, while "Re-Elected" brags that it includes 25 DLCs, the overwhelming majority of them are "packs" that do nothing but add a handful of items/cosmetics to the game, with only two of them adding new missions.

Tragically, this evidently does not include expansions like Gat out of Hell, wherein Satan tries to force the player and his daughter to get married...and gets a villain song about it.

I will throw out the DLCS that add new missions are rather fun though and worth playing.

And I don't think not having "Gat Out of Hell" is much of a loss here. I honestly keep forgetting Gat out of Hell was even a thing.

*shrug* What can I say? I like it when villains chew the scenery, and Willingham sounded like he had a blast with the role.

Pretty sure that's the point of giving out free games every week. Just give out the base stuff and through that entice the players to grab the related stuff that actually costs money. Personally, I think I've bought maybe one game from the Epic Store out of the dozens I now have that I got from these giveaways, and that was solely because it was the only way to get said game on PC. That said, I have to get Epic props that what they give away tends to be something people might actually... you know, want to PLAY rather than a bunch of terrible games that are probably over a decade old that nobody ever wanted to touch like similar giveaways.

I don't deny the idea was really cool and the bit with the musical number was amusing. It's probably the highlight of the whole game. Sadly the rest of the game doesn't really live anywhere up to that.

I mean, they made a new map(something SR4 didn't really have) and they made like actual flying mechanics and such and a bunch of new assets....and then doesn't do much with them at all. The game really felt like it needed another year to flesh it out.

Or do something crazy and set it in Heaven where the Saints are really fucking up the afterlife.
