Mostly it's the same old people who've been here for ages, and often the same old discussions as well.

I've been here forever. If you just joined back then you missed the v2 days of the politics discussions that ended with a few oldheads being kicked again. Now I mainly just pay attention to game stuff.

To be fair, most of the ones kicked were from the v1 days of the bad times, or at least it felt like it with how some of them argued.

But yeah, not much really different. The big change was obviously the Escapist coming under new management and the site migrating to its v2 incarnation back in 2020. Bunch of people moved over, bunch didn't, bunch dropped off soon after. Escapist management used to frequent the forums, but shifted their focus on growing the Discord and Youtube channel instead. Sort of left the forums to their own devices. Barring a couple exceptions, now it's mostly us ancients stubbornly refusing to leave the place behind.

Pretty good all in all, thanks. Gained some health issues these last couple years, but on the flipside, also gained a significant other. So, you know, ups and downs.
We talked few times, and while I don't remember all the conversations, they all were positive whenever you and I interacted. I was known as CoCage on the V1 thread. Glad to see an old friendly user again.

As has been mentioned a few times, yes the forum is now pretty much just a small bunch of us stubborn old dinosaurs that refuse to move with the times. Nothing particularly new or exciting really, but it has a comfortable familiarity that I guess is why most of us stick here.
