Did y'all get to see the CNN interview with the Jury? I think the powers that be want it flushed down the memory hole.
1) I thought the State's coroner lied calling Floyd's death a homicide. I thought the MMA guy perjured himself as he wanted a conviction. That since has born some fruit. We've heard that the coroner felt political pressure to report as he did admitting the evidence didn't fit the already agreed upon narrative.
BUT
2) None of that would have mattered. I think tptb wanted to say nothing has to change systemically: Chauvin is just a bad apple. Instead, in the CNN interview, they state what got Chauvin 2nd degree murder was his apparent depraved indifference to do his duty by Floyd. Floyd was in Chauvin's custody and care and he showed little interest in doing anything to help the obviously distressed (and dying) man.

I'd never thought of it that way before (that cops have such an affirmative duty). I wonder if new recruits are being told this or not.

@about 7 min.

Don't celebrate violence.
Agreed. The stabbing was not society's justice but a simple act of violence.

It's moments like this that make me think of a Clarence Darrow quote. Yes, I know Chauvin isn't dead, but the quote still fits the situation.

"I have never wished for a man's death, although I have read many an obituary with pleasure."

I mean, do we know if he was really stabbed? Where's the toxicology report.
The other inmate may have shoved a shank at Chauvin but Chauvin had a high level of Fentanyl in his bloodstream so who's to say what actually caused the stab wound.

Don't celebrate violence.
We're not celebrating violence, we're just asking questions!

Bad. Chauvin still has 19 years of debt. He should pay it in full.

Sucks to be him, but I wish whoever did the stabbing waited until the man reached full height of despair. Chauvin it's still alive anyway, so....

The other inmate wasn't wearing a body cam, so who's to say Chauvin wasn't coming right at him and forced the inmate to defend himself?

Don't celebrate violence.

You literally worship the act of a man being crucified to death.
You mean I worship the victim of that violence. Are you celebrating the victim of this violence?
No, in this day and age it's more important than ever that anti fascist violence is celebrated and respected.
Do you understand how insanely warped your perspective has to be to characterize a prison shanking as "anti-fascist"?

I can't think of many drugs that cause sudden puncture wounds.

You think a prison stabbing is anti-fascist violence? That's...a take I guess.
