Nice thing about this game is the Platinum appears to be piss easy. Just be careful to watch for certain points of no return (make cloud save) for certain endings. Everything can be done on Easy difficulty.

You say that but the collectibles seem to be a pain in the ass, especially with how poor the level design is. It's very obtuse and I think a guide might be the easy way to get through it.

It looked like a couple of the trophies for endings are by far the lowest completion rate, at like 2-3% per PS Profile users, but then it jumps to the teens and higher for everything else. *edit* nope, looked again and it’s single digits for some bosses and collectibles too. Either way you’re correct that a guide would be the most efficient route, like most games.

Given the context of this thread, I think you know EXACTLY what you were doing using the word quim. Godspeed you mad bastard.
They used it, not me 😉. Although, quims and donuts, I feel they're not unrelated. That AI might be smarter than we thought.

Twitter is fills with extremes. People who love the game with blinders on, and people who hate the game for stupid ignorant reasons.

Saying the game is good and replayable is fine, but I wonder how anyone justifies saying Eve is a good character and I wonder if they've ever seen what a really character is supposed to be like.

Something I noticed with certain people going head over heels for Eve is claiming how they don't make "female protagonists like her anymore", or shift the goal post to something even more absurd. When there are still plenty of pretty female leads or supporting characters. They never went anywhere to begin with. When asking them what they like about her personality, they can't come up with anything other than "she's a nice girl or a little bit of a dork". I have not seen them go any further than that and never elaborate. It's pretty much a nothing answer or a shallow one. They can like the character all they want, but I think a good amount of them are justifying her "personality" for an excuse to be horny. You can be horny if you want, but just admit it. She's an attractive character, but what I've seen, she's a nothing blank slate for most of the run time. Any personality that could have been shown early on it's mostly left to the wayside or some minor side quest collectibles as Sphere Hunter pointed out.

Ok so here's the deal, with art and games and fiction in general, there's an aspirational component, which is why the ancient greek statues were all of beautiful people, it's aspirational, showcasing an ideal to admire and strive towards. The best humanity can be. So while not "wrong" per-se, there's a millenia-long tradition of art functioning as showing the world as being more beautiful than it really is, or about as beautiful as it can possibly be if all the conditions are perfect. And there's value in that tradition. Expecting it to be continued and not destroyed should be the default, and there's nothing wrong about that.
You know what? I'm going back to this post again because I decided I have more to say.

Do you know how Aphrodite, the goddess of love, one of the most beautiful Greek goddesses was depicted by the Greeks?

1715627262420.png

She looks like a normal person. She has fat rolls. She has what trad chuds would now describe as "man face."

I can just imagine the shit storm that would ensue if a game developer made Aphrodite look like that in their game rather than

1715627393434.png

or

1715627419581.png

This is a joke, but this is exactly what would happen if a game developer made Aphrodite look "Greek myth accurate"

1715627672491.png

The people currently complaining online that the Hades version of Aphrodite isn't hot enough because she isn't wearing lipstick or whatever the fuck would literally shit their pants with rage if they encountered the "classical Greek aspirational beauty" that you described in your post. I highly doubt they would care about "tradition." They would be screaming that their sex goddess was made "intentionally ugly" if she was modeled the way the ancient Greeks envisioned her.

Because beauty standards and even people change over time. The Greeks didn't have toilet paper for fucks sake, let alone make up and cute shampoos for nice hair. So of course women are going to have a completely different beauty look than anything made today. It's fantasy and artists are going to portray fictional beauty based off today's standards not 3000 years ago.

Plus can you really ever be historically accurate with people who existed before photographs? Stone carving can only do so much and aren't likely to be whole accurate either.

My point is that when people use "tradition" as their argument they're making a plea about a traditional time that never existed, that they've made up in their heads.

If someone put Aphrodite in their game in the "traditional" classic Greek style all of the people who complain about "wokeism" in video games would complain about it and claim that the character is being made intentionally ugly. They constantly call upon wanting traditional beauty standards as if the beauty standards they're describing have ever actually been traditional. Traditional of what time period and what era?

In the 1860s it was considered fashionable and attractive to walk with a limp because of princess Alexandra of Denmark. https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-magazine-monitor-28357269

For a time having consumption (Tuberculosis) was considered fashionable, to the point where there were people who contracted it on purpose because it made you thin, pale, the fever made your cheeks naturally flushed and the blood that you coughed up made your lips naturally red. https://blog.sciencemuseum.org.uk/tuberculosis-a-fashionable-disease/

Well you are right on there for sure. Though you could argue that "tradition" is too blanket an argument because where are you grabbing that tradition from? What region? what era? There are traditions of lip stretching, but I highly doubt that's the tradition anyone has in mind when bringing that up. What they really mean is American tradition circa 1960-2000ish, at least generally.

It's a nonsense idea to use in an argument about attractiveness of characters because all attractiveness will always be viewed through whatever the modern ideal is.

Except the post that I was replying to decided to specifically talk about the classical aesthetic ideals of ancient Greek statues.

You can't on one hand employ the argument that all traditional art is meant to be aesthetically pleasing, and that it's meant to show a world and people to be admired and strive toward, and then on the other hand reject that same traditional art as ugly because it doesn't fit in with your own current standards for beauty.

Yes, beauty standards change over time, but that also makes the traditionalism argument fall apart because if beauty standards change over time then they aren't really traditional are they?

If Dreiko wants "traditionally feminine women" and he's specifically invoking ancient Greek statues as being an example of "showcasing an ideal to admire and strive towards" I'm simply pointing out exactly what that actually means and why he would actually hate it.

@Dirty Hipsters, don't let those bitches-in-boxstands on Twitter/YT/FB drive you crazy. Nothing is ever enough for those parasitic leeches. You can give them the Earth, Moon, Sun, and entire galaxy, and it still wouldn't be enough. They're shallow fools that never properly talked a woman, nor do they know how the opposite sex works. Like you said before, they're pretty much making up an "enemy" to fight, because deep down they know they're the shallow bitches portray, but deny seeing themselves as. They have nothing better do to with their lives. I pretty much ignore them at this point. I didn't even know until you posted.
