There's a reason she got absolutely curb stomped by Trump and it's not because a few hundred thousand of us voted third party...
No, it's because the majority of white people voted for Trump. America is racist, Trump gave americans the permission to be their worst racist selves, and in a time of turmoil and economic struggle the majority reached for their racist comfy blanket.
The problem is she couldn’t even get through an Oprah interview without her wanting to crawl under a table, or a basic CBS interview without it being edited to make her sound better, which is why there’s no way in hell she was going to do 3 hour unedited podcasts with Rogan like Trump and advance did. She can’t have a normal conversation to save her life without having it take place in a controlled environment or mentioning how evil Trump is every other sentence, and getting every rich and famous person to back her up on it.

That’s what most people saw through and why she lost.
Yes, because Trump is such an eloquent speaker who didn't bring out any famous or rich people to back him up, definitely not one of the richest guys on the fucking planet. Even if people supposedly "saw through" her, they still deliberately choose an unhinged facist over someone who is not.

If anyone needs a new computer now, or expects to need one within the near future I suggest you start shopping this black friday. Once the Trump tariffs hit the cost of electronics are going to go up significantly.
Yeah, going to max out the RAM in my laptop shortly. Hoping Crucial does a black friday sale which is the main reason I didn't do it already.

The foreign company might pay the tariff (really comes down to who's responsible for the importing), but (and this is crucial to people who can't predict the consequences) like any other cost increase they pass it down to their customers, they don't usually just eat the cost out of goodwill (unless you are such a big customer that the sheer volume means it's still worth it at the lower margin per unit).

People who voted for Trump ''because of the economy'' all knew this was going to happen.
No, a lot of them really don't understand how any of it works and look at the price change in common staple goods during the Biden admin, blame those on the Democrats and think prices will go back towards where they were during the first Trump admin pre-COVID during a second Trump admin. It's not really any deeper than that. I literally heard people where I work talking about the price of things like eggs and how Trump was going to fix that and others talking about how "America is saved!" because Trump won.

Sure, that's the only reason Harris lost. She ran a perfect campaign with no issues, America is just too racist so everyone refused to vote for her.

Hope everyone here enjoys more Republicans winning if this is the lesson Democrats insist on taking away from this election.

I don't know if I should applaud your optimism or snort laugh at it. We already have Orban smelling his chance and starting a 'make Europe great again' campaign, Wilders is salivating over Trump's re-election, Meloni is obviously game, and Mark Rutte just wants everyone to be happy and is sure he can make Trump happy. Oh, and the German coalition just folded. Fucked times are ahead. More fucked than we previously thought possible.
More cynism then optimism actually. The whole “own country first!”grift makes it hard to cheer on overt hostility towards the own country. Wilders can cheer on Trump’s victory in a “YES! Fuck the eLiTeS and brown people!” Sort of way but when Trump opens hostility and attacks our trade Wilders can’t afford to cheer at the attack on our wallets just because Donald gives him a hard on. Apparently even wilders own voters find Trump a freak so they’ll be hard to convince the Netherlands somehow deserves to be betrayed.

Considering the vast majority of black people voted for her, yes, it is. It has nothing to do with a perfect campaign - the fact that she had about 100 days to run shows that it wasn't - it's about the choice being between her and Trump. And if the majority choose Trump, then it was due to racism. If Trump had any inkling of political experience there might be an argument, but all Trump is, all he ever shows himself as, is a racist scumbag and people like him for it.

Hope everyone here enjoys more Republicans winning if this is the lesson Democrats insist on taking away from this election.
Dude, this is on the rise everywhere, all across fucking Europe. It has little to do with Democrats and everything to do with the right-wing having successfully disguised itself as the current counter culture. It was the Democrat's fault back in '16 when they pretty much pushed for Trump to become the Republican nominee, because they figured he'd be easy to beat. But by the time Biden finally opted out, fucking nobody on the Democratic side, and nothing they could've done would've landed them a victory.

Then I guess Democrats will just keep losing since it's everyone's fault except for The Democrats that they lost 🤷‍♂️

But you know, just as a fun and whacky experiment, they could try to implement Left Wing stuff instead of sprinting to the right. They're gonna lose anyway cause everyone is racist, right? So why not give it a try and see what happens for funsy.

There's blame enough to go around. It absolutely is the Democrats' fault for running a last-minute, uninspiring & Republican-lite campaign. It's also the fault of regressives (or people who're A-OK with racism, misogyny, homophobia etc) for providing the actual votes for it to happen. And it's the fault of the apathetic, for caring so little about what happens to other people and the world at large that they sat on their ass.

Responsibility ain't zero-sum.

The irony of the further right is that they have a loose international alliance because they can all spur each other on to success, but the minute they get into power their nations will fight each other like cats in a bag, because that's the inevitability of chauvanistic nationalism.

So for instance the likes of Wilders or Viktor Orban of Hungary can thrive because the EU is reasonable and largely co-operative so tolerates them. If EU countries decisively turned to right nationalism, they would just be in control of small / poor / weak nations that would be routinely bullied or roflstomped by their more powerful neighbours. Like it was in the old days.

So, Musk says he intends to cut 2 trillion dollars from public expenditure, and Trump has endorsed that figure. So where do we think the axe will fall?

View attachment 12198

Presumably a chunk will be Education, because they've also said they want to abolish the department of education altogether.

We can assume that national defence will be safe (or increase).

No way will Social Security, Health & Medicare be unscathed.
Public education is already a shitshow, and Biden and other dems already gutted social security benefits over four decades ago (on top of taxing up to 85% of earnings.

Dems are hypocrites; perhaps moreso than their opposition.

So? Biden voted to cut social security in 1983, so therefore 2 trillion in cuts now is fine?

Yes, because I totally said that, except when I said it was their fault in '16. Other then the already too late shift from Biden to Harris, the Democrats didn't do anything different now than when Biden ran 4 years ago. It was pretty much the same 'Trump is evil so let's vote him out' campaign that they ran now. Harris (Biden) actually putting a stop to the Palestinian genocide for example, wouldn't have changed anything (election results wise), and considering how much the 'Israel is a fragile country surrounded by barbaric muslims' sentiment is prevalent in western society, the shitstorm this would've brewed within the mainstream media would've cost her as many votes as it likely would've gained her.

Point being, by the time Harris got appointed as canidate it was too late. That was the Democrats fault, that they didn't make plans to replace Biden the minute he was showing signs of dithering. But was that why they lost the election? Maybe, if the Republican canidate was one of those old fashioned racists Republicans who knew how to hide it underneath a sleek political veneer. But Trump was as well-known as an openly racist, bigoted, woman-hating scumbag, as Charles Manson was as a psychotic cult leader. For people to fully be aware of this and STILL vote for him... Yes, during this election it was primarily their fault.

It'd be nice if this was due to a mistake from the Democrats, but the unfortunate truth is that too large a percentage of the american public has decided Donald Trump is just an awesome guy, and they've got his back what may come. Is this the Democrats fault? I mean, it's the fault of the political system that the Democrats are a part of, but that didn't occur in the last 100 days Harris was running.

But you know, just as a fun and whacky experiment, they could try to implement Left Wing stuff instead of sprinting to the right. They're gonna lose anyway cause everyone is racist, right? So why not give it a try and see what happens for funsy.
Sure, that'd be nice. But would that've made a change during this election (under Harris)? The left-wing policies that do get proposed by Democrats tend to get buried by America's corporate system anyway. And didn't Harris promise a 25.000 dollar down-payment to new homeowners during her campaign? That's one right there. Whether it's the masculine bootstrap attitude of America or something else, left-wing policies never gain too much respect or ground for them to get actually realized. Not within the political system anyway.

But it sure is fun!

I blame Crimson. It's all his fault.
I accept no responsibility for anything I say ever.

The democrats did a great job memory holing their own progressive policies 4 years ago it seems. In 2020 they campaigned on raising the minimum wage, cancelling student loan debt, making community college free, and passing the green new deal. He also brought Sanders onto the team to try and look like he was making leftward movement. It was mostly lies of course, so I guess we just applaud Kamala for being honest about not really trying? I mean nothing says "I give up" like sidelining your own VP for Liz Cheney and Mark Cuban.

If America is racist, how did Obama win Indiana in 2008? And Indiana is even bluer now. You sound like you're auditioning for The View. Kamala Harris is an idiot, that's why people didn't vote for her.

Yep, nazi's gleefully admitting they're going to do nazi shit is them just joking.

This is me not joking; all nazi's should fucking die.
Rolling Stone cited Matt Walsh about how Project 2025 is "happening". It's a fucking joke, he even put "Lol" at the end of the post. You're in your own echo chamber that makes you think Project 2025 is some legit SCARY thing when it's literally been released by the same organization for over 40 years. You should have been as afraid of this every election if you this is as dangerous as you think it is. What's so special this time around that wasn't every other time?
