Orly? Get rid of it then.

Ah, tried to pull a Cruz

Good, this is what's important right now.
So what was Rogan's reaction to Elon's take on healthcare? By now we all know Joe Rogan is a rat who shills for Trump, Musk and even Putin but his followers likely wouldn't take kindly on everyone's healthcare being taken away, so the rat has to juggle his priorities there.

This is especially stupid because nothing Pete Rose did (gambling-wise at least) was illegal. There's nothing to pardon.
But it lines up perfectly with Trump's "who cares if he broke the rules, he's a winner" mentality. (And honestly, I'm only surprised that he didn't sign an executive order placing Rose in the Hall of Fame directly.)

I note Trump thinks baseball is dying. I strongly suspect that Trump thinks that because the TV ratings are so much lower than they used to be, which is no doubt because he hasn't worked out that lots of people now watch online.

Oh fuck if he dares to cut funding to Baseball Stadiums that might result in cancelling games...it will cause an uproar.

It'd be so fucking depressing if the thing that finally does Trump in is cutting an actually wasteful government handout.
There's no risk of that.

When they say "Waste", they mean "spending on things we don't like". I severely doubt anything cut is being cost-analysed in meaningful ways, or otherwise viewed outside the prism of their personal prejudices.

I mean, it's one banana, Michael. What could it cost? 10 dollars?

What about N.Korea tho? They can bring Dennis Rodman to mediate.

So is this gonna be Foxconn x10 or for real this time?

Fun fact, one of the biggest expanse of USAID was to buy american made food to give in poor country. Trump is going to have to find a replacement for that fast...
Thankfully, Trump will have brought in load of money via tariffs. The revenue gained from the imposed tariffs will be used to compensate US producers for their losses incurred due to retaliatory tariffs from other countries.

How do we know this? Well, it's what happened in Trump's first administration. He slapped tariffs on China, and ended up having to compensate US farmers about the same amount as the revenue gained because of the business they lost from China's retaliatory tariffs. That's what retaliatory tariffs are generally designed to do: hit countries where it hurts. Sure, Trump can hold out and demand that US producers suck up the pain, but I figure will probably fold when the bad press starts pouring in.

What's even better is that most of this went to rich farmers. The poor farmers went bankrupt and were bought out

More people start growing and raising some of their own food, Republican thinks it's cool, Democrats mock her and assure everyone they'll be back on the corporate systems in no time. Geez, politics drives you all insane.
Context is king.

If people have a problem affording food now, being told to grow/raise their own by someone with:
  • a garden / space
  • set-up money
  • probably staff
  • education / know-how
  • low crime area
  • no delay because production already exists
  • etc.
is not remotely useful.

It's a form of "let them eat cake" comment, from a privileged twit with no conception of what millions of her fellow citizens have to live with, and for whom this is a impractical thing to do. As usual, it's also likely to be least practical for the people with the most need, i.e. the poor.

If a politician wants people to grow their own stuff, then they need to create a system that facilitates them doing so. Otherwise they're just some pompous prick fobbing off problems with nonsense.

Illegal, eh?
Well, let's pick through that:

1) Removing funding from educational establishments that did somehow allow illegal protests risks damaging the education of students. Is this a good idea, and are children the right people to punish for the decision of a school official?
2) Expulsion damage the educations of children, and jailing them may have much wider, severe, long-term implications for their societal productivity. Are we sure it is a good idea to risk this sort of damage to children just for political protest?
3) No masks? Sorry, are we in a timewarp back to 2020?
4) Does Trump actually have the legal power to do most of this?
