Desktop tech/site support for a hospital and now essentially the same for a college. Pay is decently better and benefits are way better, and the job is so easy it's not even funny.
There's no reason why the 3 friends I mentioned without a housing payment don't have money besides them being shit with money essentially. At least 2 of them make enough to be able to afford a normal housing situation (whether rent or mortgage) while they have major money issues with no house payment. One just got fired and said he only has like $400 in his account, that really makes no sense. Though I do know he wastes most his money on OnlyFans.
The one friend that makes less than me, I could see her not making enough to live on her own (or have to really stretch money to do so) but she lives at home so she should be able to save money (even if it's like maybe only $200-$500/month vs my aforementioned $1k/month), she should have money essentially. It is her fault for not moving up at all in her profession (the lowest you can probably be in the medical field), one friend even offered to help her become a nurse several years ago. Another friend was a White Castle manager, she took classes to become an echo tech and now works at a hospital making probably double of my other friend in the medical field and it only took like a year or two to do that. People have responsibility to improve themselves as well, it's not purely the system being crappy.
