A giant retrospective series on all the games in the Paper Mario series that I enjoyed watching:

I really don't understand why Nintendo hates The Thousand Year Door so much. To me it's one of the best games ever made, but to them it's exactly what they don't want the series to be.

Steam has released their yearly splash screen of the best selling titles. One DLC struck out to me as odd, in the sense that DLC can only sell to people already owning the base game which limits the number of potential customers, so I investigated it:

Euro Truck Simulator 2: Nordic Horizons reached bronze tier. I then ended up on the video below, which reveals how dedicated the team behind it is and why the game is appealing to players (and a rather long sponsored segment at the end):

If you have 7 minutes to spare.

Lots of surprise in that list:

Schedule 1 selling that well, I thought it was half finished and feature poor at this point
Dune awekening, also didn't chart that as one of the 15 best selling game
Anno 117, cool for them, its like the one franchise that ubisoft hasn't fuck the pooch with
EU5, considering it came out pretty late
E33, would have thought it would be in top 12
Where wind meet (how do they calculate this for F2P?)
Wooo FFT sold semi well at least

Yes, I'm aware these videos are 13-years-old, but I started watching GameFront's content more recently (maybe 10 years or so,) and kept hearing them talk about how much they enjoyed their old "Minecraft Show." I finally decided to give it a whirl, and it's hilarious, and I love it.

Compared to some of the production you get nowadays, it's very low budget, but the chemistry between very good friends just fucking around on a Minecraft server, shooting the shit about nothing, cracking jokes, fucking each other over with Minecraft TNT, etc., it just feels, I dunno, cozy. Reminds me of when I used to be able to hang out with friends playing videogames. James Heaney is definitely the heart of the show; an improv actor/comedian, and notoriously bad at videogames, he has been keeping me in stiches since his self-proclaimed "expert" walkthrough of Darks Souls 1 where failure was the standard. He's always a good-natured butt of the joke.

Nothing wrong with that. If the videos in question are good and they're nearly half a decade old, then that's no problem to me. That means they're still good, or hold up enough to be entertaining.
