Take a drink every time Huang says AI

Or don't, and don't watch it at all, cuz it's all investor slop.

A shining example of using many words to say nothing. I think there's a word for that. Dammit, it's on the tip of my tongue.
Satya Nadella said:
“We need to get beyond the arguments of slop vs sophistication and develop a new equilibrium in terms of our ‘theory of the mind’ that accounts for humans being equipped with these new cognitive amplifier tools as we relate to each other,”
Ah, "cognitive amplifier", eh?

I think the point about "slop" is that AI is not being used to amplify cognition, it's being used to drown us in thoughtless sludge... potentially for huge sums of money. And when push comes to shove, Nadella and ilk's companies will be overjoyed to make a fortune helping other companies drown us in thoughtless sludge.

I love that AIs have apparently been trained on photos of naked minors, including child pornography. Where are all the "protect the children" dipshits now, eh? What about the "AI is here to stay, get used to it" bros?

Fuck off

Ffs, and of course also this.

'Lapses in safeguards', my ass. This is such an obvious end result, if I didn't know these 'move fast and break things' tech bros are simply that careless, i would think it intentional design. Then again, Musk is involved, so maybe it is.

And I guess this ties into that democratization of art those same tech bros love to tout. Human creativity unleashed, by way of pathetic losers asking the cumputer to produce familiar shapes and colors for them, jangling shiny keys to themselves in onanistic intoxication.

I'm reminded of a quote from Dan Ollson about Doug 'Nostalgia Critic' Walker

If it were kids or teens, I'd think whatever, but these are grown adults mashing action figures together and congratulating themselves like they painted the Sistine Chapel.

Oh, and pedos and other sexual predators indulging themselves. Can't forget those.
I think the phrase ''like father like child'' applies given how Musk is such a creep. Unwholesome stances on woman or even children seen well represented in his circles. To the point Musk fanatically supported someone he knew was on Epstein's list.

Sony has not learned a damn thing. Nobody wants this, and can look up video guides and GameFAQS guides for free.
I'm surprised Nintendo didn't think of it first, considering their games have been offering to beat themselves if you die a couple times since Mario Galaxy.

Yes, and we all know that there will be no serious repercussions for xAI, FKA Twitter or Musk.

No wonder they don't give a shit.

Super Mario Bros Wii and both DKC Returns & Tropical Freeze do this too. So Nintendo, technically already thought of it, but they're not gonna waste extra hardware and resources just to do something they've already done right the first time around. Especially when they already still have it.

Elon Musk would love this, then he wouldn't have to pay a Chinese gold farmer to level up his characters.
Fuck him. Almost nobody else is going to use it otherwise. Maybe DSP, but fuck him too.

First off, fuck all the way off with this "best efforts" nonsense, as if AI is some essential force of nature with an inherent need to exist that humanity has no choice but to deal with to the best of its ability.

Secondly, is xAI actually doing its best to combat this? Well, they put image generation behind a paywall, innit? But that's not a solution, that's just turning the kiddie porn deepfake factory into a premium service. And it's bull, because interacting with Grok through replies is not the only way to access the image generation tools, and several of those others are still available to free users. Unless being slightly less convenient counts as a guardrail. Then again, tech bros probably think it is. Speaking of, Musk and xAI also threatened to take action against users who use Grok to create illegal content, but again, that does nothing to prevent users making illegal content in the first place.

Thirdly, this type of content is against basically all platforms store terms and against several countries' laws. Should that all be disregarded, and xAI suffer no consequence? For what? Because of the wealth, influence and political connections of its owner? Is that somehow not crony capitalism?

Hell yeah. There's a reason Grok is making kiddy porn just like Facebook's chatbot was programmed to romance children: that's the policy the company set. If Grok wasn't creating kiddy porn one day and then next day it was, they did something. And we know they did, because we were told all about it that Musk wanted the guardrails down.

Next, let's imagine that an oil company accidentally screws up and unleashes a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Whether or not the company put its "best efforts" into safety (they didn't), it's a reasonable expectation that the company pays for it. It is not surprising to find a corporate CEO who thinks it isn't the job of corporations to pay for the damage corporations cause.

No, because...

... there are no consequences.

But it's not just Musk here - they wouldn't hold any of them to account. Basically, in financial terms, the USA has bet the farm on AI. If that massive amount of money ploughed in doesn't pay back, there's going to be a crash, and the reputation of the government will crash with it. Too Big To Fail. The federal government is as locked in as the Big Tech corporations.

Next iteration of Chinese outfit DeepSeek is to be released soon. If it impresses like the last version did, I think the pain in the US tech industry will be extraordinary.

Trying find reviews in the age of enshittified AI.
Tales of the Morphos is a low budget FPS survival horror that sounds like it wants to be a half life, yet the only reviews I could find appear to be vague AI slop cos they seem adamant it's part of the "tales of" JRPG series, has turn based combat and is definitely part of the "tales of" series like omg guis!

Then the Google "AI" automated response popped up with its own take to share.

Actually no it bloody ain't, don't 'actually' me with freebased nonsense!

Oh and Yes. That is genshin impact. Nothing to do with either games. Lol.

Can't wait for this to replace healthcare.
