Climbing the towers on Rhea Island in Sonic Frontiers is a fair bit more difficult than most of the open-world platforming challenges on previous islands, between the length and the skill required to avoid falling. To keep Sonic under control, it's likely you'll have to not boost at all or extremely sparingly, and I don't know if it was intentional or not, but that really drives home the feeling that Sonic is barely holding it together; because of the corruption, he can't run at full speed, or at least not for as long as he/you want to.

Despite the relatively low amount of frames given to each character's attack animations in Limbus Company, the camera movements, sound effects and special effects make them feel weighty and brutal, to a greater degree than a lot of games I've played with more fidelity.

In Canto 8 of Limbus Company, you fight against a boss who is feared as one of the most powerful individuals in the setting, and his stats bear this out; if you check him during the battle, it shows that his level is 90, when your level cap is currently fixed at 55. However, since he's not taking the fight seriously and is instead using it to try and measure the character of one of your party members, he gives himself a debuff that effectively lowers his level by 35, down to your own party's level of 55. Since level differences cause the higher-level character's clash numbers to be inflated significantly, you would not be able to land a hit on him if he wasn't holding back to take your measure.

Some bosses are like 'that battle didn't count, I wasn't fighting for real' after the fact, but Jia Qiu actually lives up to that hype.

This video was posted in 2023 about how your attacks change when at a higher style rank in Devil May Cry 3, and how enemy behaviors change too.

In First Berserker Khazan you go through a giant spider infested cave. There are all these spider goo sacks/eggs around and they are so incredibly satisfying to pop. The skin pops like its cloth or some kind of thin membrane, there is a liquid inside that starts out in the shape of the sack before gushing out like liquid, and all these little spiders scurry off.

Street Fighter II: Champion Edition (Genesis) lets you change the controls just before the next match by pressing start rapidly. It will take you to the controls menu. Hitting start again will immediately take you to the next fight.

If you're put off by the title, you can get Big's tail trapped in elevator doors, and he'll say "Ow." if you do.

Limbus Company is based on a set of 13 classical novels, one of which is Wuthering Heights. As the only book of the set that was written in England, all of the characters based on that novel use British English spellings in the English translation (e.g. colour, cosy), though everybody else uses American English (color, cozy).

Void Stranger, if you quit scum eventually the game puts you on trial and your punishment is essentially that you are forced to quit scum for the rest of the game unless you give up and restart. Every floor your extra lives tick down until they reach zero and then you will be constantly one mistake away from death. It's nice when a game puts in the effort to keep the player honest.
Mewgenics does something similar; if you quit in the middle of a battle, the game will revert to before it started, but Steven, a character from another game by Edmund McMillen called 'Time Fcuk'[sic], will appear and call you out on it. There's multiple layers to this:
-Time Fcuk is a game about time travel, so naturally Steven would recognize that you're committing temporal shenanigans.
-He directly compares himself to Mr Resetti during the initial sequence.
-Afterwards, he says he will let you have one reset per run, with any subsequent attempts applying increasingly severe consequences, up to Steven taking away your controls and (badly) auto-playing the remainder of the run.

Sounds interesting. A bit of a necro on that quote. :P

(Played that on Kongregate; the conceit with the name was that the letters of the second word would constantly randomize but never actually spell "Fuck". It was kind of interesting and the music was good.)

Playing Spider-Man 2. Not sure if this is tiny, but still. Went to bust up a random crime as Peter Spidey, only to find Miles there already. So, we teamed up to take them down as a duo. It's neat having the other playable character still exist in the world when you aren't playing as them.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance kinda annoys me. Its combat is pretty good, the graphics are great, the music is great, the story would be better not existing. Its not just bad, but its also kinda in your face. The levels also run the gamut between good and bad and boring. I just did the Fish Market and it was a really cool level, the layout was pretty good, the backgrounds were really interesting, the fights were good, but the level before it, Neocity was just boring, the backgrounds were dull, the fights were boring and the objective was to save 3... kids? which somehow saves the city or something?

I actually found it pretty fun overall, but not my personal favorite so far (I still gotta finish the game, but I am busy with Romeo Is A Dead Man). The whole saving kids thing is a throwback to Arcade Shinobi and Shadow Dancer (Genesis version) where you rescue hostages/kids.

Romeo's appearance actually changes the further you get into the game. Thanks to his grandpa, Benjamin. Mainly the right side of his face mask, where was bit, starts look similar to Ultraman or some other Toku heroes.

Grandpa Benjamin being part of Romeo's coat has different/unique expressions depending on the situation, or when it combat. With him being panicked the if Romeo is a low health.

Ugh dammit, put this on the wrong thread.

In Katana Zero, if your timing is good enough, you can deflect bullets without needing to activate bullet time first. This is mentioned in one late-game cutscene as something the protagonist was able to do even before he started taking the time-travel drugs.

RE Requiem - A detail I've noticed a lot of people aren't saying, is that Capcom actually brought back the zapping system. If you leave items or enemies around (or if you didn't permanently kill the zombies), then Grace/Leon will encounter them later depending on where you go and/or the next designated path.

In RE Requiem, Grace gets a lighter for a short section near the start of the game to use as an (extremely limited) light source, before getting a flashlight and using that for light instead for the rest of the game. She doesn't just throw the lighter away, though; she uses the same lighter to light the rag on Molotov cocktails.

In Spider-Man 2, you can visit Aunt May's grave as Peter Parker Spider-Man, and he'll have special dialogue for the event. The small detail, however, is how he talks changes depending on when in the storyline you do it. If you are playing as the symbiote affected Peter, his tone of voice and dialogue is more arrogant, while he sounds regretful if you do it post-game.
