The same people saying this would kill their own mother to get into the US in a top 5-10 city.
China will say that... up until they do it themselves.

Whoever is top dog uses all the power at its disposal to enforce its will, and inevitably that means military force, and it's power spreads it far and wide across many opportunities for conflict. Thus it has always been that the most powerful country in the world is rarely ever at peace.

I'd also imagine Gergar isn't hearing about a lot of immigrants to the country of the EU, for the same reason you don't hear about tourism to the state of Sydney, Australia.

I meant countries in the EU. The Eu isn't a a country.

If he were not a billionaire and able to buy attention, he'd be laughed out of the room as a kook and sell nary a single ticket. It could be a living, breathing demonstration of an appeal to authority fallacy: he's got billions, so surely the crazy-ass shit he's got to say about the antichrist is worth something.

I can't help that the Biblical antichrist is perhaps interesting because he's offering stuff that people want. Yeah, power, riches and juicy, tasty apples are great, but you need to resist temptation. Thiel's monstrous ego however roars to the fore, because his antichrist conveniently represents what he already dislikes. Implicitly then he is a moral paragon, the Jesus of his quasi-religious schema: and that makes him no better than the average, grubby, cult leader exploiting his adherents.

The other thing here is the ego fantasy that he's an incredibly clever man, and should be considered amongst the great intellectuals of the era. So he's modelled himself on one of his ex-professors, and this is him acting out his pretentions to be viewed as a thinker, philosopher. He is, however, mostly just a twat.

What did Digital Foundry do? I'm a little behind on tech tuber drama.
They pretty much endorsed this shit. The DLSS5 or whatever its called has an AI filter, and it is terrible. There are some at Digital Foundry who don't like it, but most of people at the top are defending this, or most of the people in the videos. The video I showed you is them attempting damage control, but no one is buying.

Then there's this fucking fucker.

Here is the original video.

Here are all of the appropriate responses.

I guarantee you it's designed to manipulate people in a 2 billion person religion. Even if I believe in in a non-atheist/non-agnostic religion, I don't believe I or others should be manipulated by religious, government officials, and business leaders to wage wars so that 'clever people' can pull up the economic ladder by waging a economic class war, or fight on blood-stained holy-land, but many people do.

I believe it.
I agree with everything but the property taxes, without them houses would go up in price even more, and school districts, police, etc. would go unfunded. I generally prefer land value taxes, but property taxes are arguably the second best tax for land. By the way this opinion is highly unpopular, and when I wrote about this, I enraged someone so much they posted about me without mentioning my name on my college's Reddit. They though I worked in investment bank, yeah Jan I have ADHD and a serious mental illness, but totally work at a hedge fund, really smart logic there.

Possibly. But then why were these comments delivered in a talk where attendees weren't allowed to record or even repeat the content outside?

Maybe he really is just a complete whackjob on a personal level, manipulation aside.
