Not something that makes me laugh, but something that makes me feel relieved.
Over on the microblog blusky I follow Martin "LittleKuriboh" Bellamy, creator of the gag dub Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series, and I regularly tune in to his streams on twitch.tv. Over the years I've gotten to know a lot of hardships he and his partner Marin has experienced, such as former collaborators that turned hostile, struggles with money, struggles with getting gender affirming care for his partner, struggles with finding employment, struggles with AI replacing voice actors, struggles related to being immuno-compromised, his father passing away, his mother calling J K Rowling a hero and their cat passing away earlier this week. It all came to a head this week, where he revealed that he'd have to fast-track a planned 20 year anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series celebration in the form of streaming on YouTube, on account that he could possibly out of their home if he delayed it any further. He also set up a donation link, and explained the situation in the video below, with the hope of collecting 20.000 USD, to keep it on theme with the anniversary.
He has not even started streaming yet, yet they have already collected 574 % of the requested money. I am glad for him. That makes me smile.

I hate having to install two lists of python libraries, and figuring out how to solve dependency issues.

Yeah, its watched, but I find if I don't check notifications when it pops and then end on the last page it sometimes forgets or something.

Its not even cultural gate keepers, its culture warrior bullshit. They never have a point, they want something in media to ***** about and blame dei or whatever is the current boogeyman they have come up with for likes and clicks and power. They have tried doing this to everything not just a black samurai. They tried to claim that Star Trek was woke, despite the fact that its fucken Star Trek, the show that gave us the first interracial kiss on tv, of course its fucken woke. They tried to do it to superman, claiming that he.... I don't even know what they claimed there, it was so retarded that I blocked it out. If there was an Amelia Earhart movie they would try to claim it was dei or woke for having a female pilot, it wouldn't catch on, but they would try it.
Indeed, it's both. As mentioned in the video, these screw heads freak out so much, because it shatters their delusions and narrow minded views. Whenever facts get their actual wat, they scream or cry like they're always a victim, never the aggressor.

I suppose its both, but only depending on which end you are talking about. The people who initially tend to try and spread it know its bullshit, but they are motivated and to them the ends justifies the means and if that means just lying, so be it. The people who then latch onto it might actually believe in it, but to me its just as likely that its just being spread by others who also know its stupid bullshit. If you are right wing there is no accountability.

I am super glad to have my job right now.
I mean aside from the fact that my workplace rarely does layoffs, it also allows for remote work. I am always working from home, and it saves money on gas. ESPECIALLY these days w/ what's going on in Iran.
