People haven't become less religious, they've made politics their religion.Good. I hope the Religious Right keep losing like they already are.
strong opinions are not a religion.People haven't become less religious, they've made politics their religion.
when I like at Trump's cult I certainly can't argue there.People haven't become less religious, they've made politics their religion.
Your right they are worse.strong opinions are not a religion.
That and the fact that she wasn't able to persuade the courts that the President shouldn't need a case to convict his personal enemies.Pam "I Am the Law" Bondi is out of a job, presumably for her inability to make Americans adore pedophiles.
Interesting Easter message.Fuck yeah!!!
Jesus died on the cross so that Trump could be president, obviously!Interesting Easter message.
Sounds a bit 'war cirimey', and I'm pretty sure that's not what Jesus died on the cross for.
MAGA has deluded themselves into thinking that Trump is Jesus.Sounds a bit 'war cirimey', and I'm pretty sure that's not what Jesus died on the cross for.
At least they haven't started putting gold statues of him up in churches (or have they?)MAGA has deluded themselves into thinking that Trump is Jesus.
Bear in mind that Paula White is prosperity gospel, they believe God rewards the pious with wealth. Thus the logic can hold in reverse, that wealth is proof of piety. Trump's "spiritual advisor" knows which side her bread is buttered: amount of sacrilege is godly if it wins her a payday.Blasphemies like those are what drives away people from Christianity in the US. It is all so insincere and corrupt that any spirituality is lost. The only thing left are tax excemptions and pretexts to push through horrible policies.
As if the regime didn't kill 30 thousand of it's own people. Even if I don't agree with collective punishment the only thing Iranian leadership and IRGC needs are their heads on spikes.Interesting Easter message.
Sounds a bit 'war cirimey', and I'm pretty sure that's not what Jesus died on the cross for.
There is no good evidence that the Iranian government killed as many as 30,000. That's an unproven claim that seems to be entirely fabricated by monarchists. There is evidence that a bunch of people died in street fighting in which one side was armed with guns by the United States and staffed or directed to some extent by Mossad and the other side was, indeed, the Iranian police and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps after a few days of peaceful protests that were tolerated (and caused by economic hardships imposed by US sanctions) but then became something else entirely, apparently because of the influence of israel and the United States. It is funny to take umbrage at a few million dollars spent on American politics facebook ads by Russians and then turn around and say Iran has no right to defend itself from an armed insurrection materially supported by America and israel. As if the regime didn't kill 30 thousand of it's own people. Even if I don't agree with collective punishment the only thing Iranian leadership and IRGC needs are their heads on spikes.
So your argument is that if the Iranian regime commits a crime against humanity against the Iranian people, we should commit a crime against humanity against the Iranian people too?As if the regime didn't kill 30 thousand of it's own people. Even if I don't agree with collective punishment the only thing Iranian leadership and IRGC needs are their heads on spikes.
Only the leadership, and their henchmen the IRGC.So your argument is that if the Iranian regime commits a crime against humanity against the Iranian people, we should commit a crime against humanity against the Iranian people too?

Fucking hell man, you have got to learn.
Back in the early 2000s, the younger me had sympathies for the Iraq War on the grounds it would be so satisfying to remove Saddam Hussein. And to be fair, Iraq is a better place... but it took a decade of pain, blood, misery, chaos (overwhelmingly borne by the Iraqi people, of course), and a shit-ton of effort and money from the West. Since the early 2000s we've also killed a load of LIbyans, Syrians, Afghans and left their countries demonstrably no better (and potentially worse) than before we started. So we killed and destroyed a load for basically nothing. Instead, we could have saved the kept our hands clean - and saved the money.
More fool the younger me back in the early 2000s, because wiser heads were already pointing out the evidence demonstrated that this sort of regime change or nation building usually goes badly. And in the last 25 years, I have seen it for myself play out in my lifetime, and I have learnt.
You've got to drop the childish fantasy of Iranian bad guys getting their comeuppance and the whizz bang excitement of destruction. It just doesn't solve enough of the world's problems. At minimum, you want to fix Iran, you should be demanding a detailed plan with a massive commitment of 10-20 years of aid, assistance, infrastructure building, etc. all backed up by military force. And even then, there's a fair chance it'd be an Afghanistan, not an Iraq.
Otherwise, all you are doing is committing your country to bloody its hands and waste its money with pointless death and destruction. There will certainly be beneficiaries of bombing Iran "back to the stone age", but I can assure you virtually none of them will be Iranian. Oone of the main beneficiaries will be the genocidal state of Israel, which has killed about 80,000 Palestinians and Lebanese in the last 3 years. if we want to think who deserves a comeuppance, not only has Israel killed more than the Iranian regime has killed in the same period, but per capita it's over an order of magnitude more.
Which was always a fantasy.Only the leadership, and their henchmen the IRGC.
