Not a real skirt, bleh. I hate skorts.

Lack of skirts in Bruce Timm's Justice League was a pity. I think there was only one, Supergirl, and it was too tight to flow.

It wouldn't even be a "panty" shot, since superheroes don't wear panties. It would just be part of her leotard. Ice skaters, runners and gymnasts, no one takes issue with leotards. It's understood to be sportswear, though with flattering touches, of course. But a superhero, everybody in upper management has a problem. If there's a recent superhero in a leotard from the same studio that I'm not aware of, why then does merely adding a skirt make it objectionable?

Skorts are just not sexy enough for you, I see. Wish we can go back to the days when women just existed to be eye candy or a cheap Samus is a Girl plot twist. Also...Bruce Timm's Justice League? I'm sorry, I'm just getting confused as to why you are bringing up an animated universe over 20 years old by now into something about a film that's only related to it by being a different adaptation of the same character. Especially when your complaint is that she was the only character to wear a skirt there, so the fact that she's not wearing a "proper" skirt here is somehow upsetting to you.

And now with your new post, confirmed. You just expect superheroines to be there for you to find sexy. Got it. And yeah, CLEARLY DC has a problem portraying superheroines with skirts. Clearly.

Skorts are COMPLETELY unsexy. They're a lie.

Wonder Woman's design was even worse. All that ugly plating, the excessive detail...

Why wouldn't I use this as an excuse to mention something related that I noticed about Justice League, a show I enjoyed, by the way?

Of course no response to what I said about athletes.

And superheroine outfits are no longer designed with the primary goal being "can I fap to this". Times move on. I also was using Wonder Woman to point out that clearly, DC is fine with skirts on superheroines when they feel it is fitting. They didn't think Supergirl needed a skirt, and so she doesn't get one. You'll have to turn to the cartoons to get yourself off, it seems.

And yes, I know I shouldn't be engaging, but posts like this rely on people just rolling their eyes and not calling them out on it to try to convince themselves "Everyone thinks this, I'm just the only one saying it."

Also, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman design is ten years old. I asked for recent. The thing is so short and rigid that it hardly has the effect of a skirt. Like I said, wish Supergirl in DCAU had a more flowing skirt.

Well, if the last major live action DC superheroine is not recent enough for you, and that doesn't count as a skirt to you because...it's too short (miniskirts aren't skirts, now?), I guess we are done here, because literally nothing will satisfy your request. You'll find some reason that it "doesn't count". I'll just tell you what you want to hear. You're right. DC specifically has a vendetta against you seeing a skirt on Supergirl, and is flaunting it by making her wear a skort just to spite you. You are the most important person in the world, and everything is about you and your desires, or flaunting thereof. In the next trailer, she'll be driving a forklift that has too thin forks to actually lift anything.

Apparently the entire upcoming Avatar (cartoon) movie was leaked online. Because the voices were so different, I thought it was AI.

Based on what little I have seen of it so far, I dunno how well audiences will react. The same characters, with a new art style and voice cast? Not easy to pull off.

So, I watched The Kelly Clarkson Show yesterday (don't judge me; I watched for this specific reason) because Antony Starr, The Boys' Homelander, was a guest. As they were discussing all of the horrific shit his character has done, he made sure to note that the worst is yet to come this season. My imagination is simply spinning with what worse things Homelander can do. I stand by my sentiment: he has to be dead when the credits on the final episode roll if I'm ever to sleep easily again.

That said, a YT channel I've recently gotten into, The Multiverse Saga, puts iconic characters from disparate universes against one another, and Homelander is a popular opponent. I think they are biased towards "good guys," because it feels like a lot of their powers are overstated for the purposes of virtue signaling for good over evil. Fact is a lot of the "bad guys" in these scenarios, if genuinely challenged, would play for keeps and play dirty. I'm sorry, I grew up loving Spider-Man, but he isn't beating Homelander.

The Silver Surfer would fucking body Homelander and it wouldn't even be close. He's the one choice out of these four where you don't need to exaggerate shit to make him win.
Spider-Man is going to be situational, like normal running the mouth Spidey probably going to get his skull crushed in short order. But pissed off silent Spider-Man? Probably in with a good chance if he fights smart and dirty.

Iron Man and the T-1000 are interesting because, well, I'm not sure. Like maybe that laser in the Iron Man suit from IM2 could cut Homelander in half but while the guy is not Superman or Vision, he still moves plenty quick. The nanosuit from Infinity War might do the trick if Tony gets the first hit in and just doesn't let up.

The T-1000? Well, you can't accuse it of playing by the superhero equivalent of the Marquess of Queensberry Rules. So fuck knows; if it can give its knife hands a mono-molecular edge or something it'd probably just pretend to be an adoring fan to make him drop his guard and then cut his fuckin' head off.

Nerding is fun sometimes.

For music news, the 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees have been announced. Stretching it on the last one (only due to genre, not denying their impact/influence), but overall quite a solid list, and some long overdue choices.

Iron Maiden
Phil Collins solo
Billy Idol
Joy Division/New Order
Sade
Oasis
Luther Vandross
Wu-Tang Clan
