I wonder how, as a straight adaptation, The Ghost in the Shell will handle Israel's Mossad late in the story. If they'll change the organization to something else to avoid controversy. Also wonder if they'll change the post-Cold War of the manga. My memory there is hazy. I think World War III happened in the manga, but I can't remember the ramifications. Is it still taking place in 2029, in an alternate future of the year 1989, or are they pushing it decades into our future?
