Yeah, well, that's all well and good, but if you can't have recreational sex
Anyone can have recreational sex. They just need to be willing to practice some self improvement. Work out a few times a week. Practice good hygiene, and social interactions. I promise, anyone, even a weeb, can start on the path of self improvement and enjoy a healthy sex life.

All porn does is demotivate you from making those positive life choices, irnoically stopping people from getting the things they want in life. Sex, sure. But more importantly, companionship and a loving relationship.

(sans hiring a prostitute or something)
Honestly, if it's legal, and consensual, I don't see any issue with practicing this. And frankly, it should probably be legalized and regulated everywhere. It would improve the lives of sex workers the world over.

people that don't have good old fashion christian values, like punching gays.
Are you saying Fox wants to physically harm gays because of his religion?

Dude, what's wrong with you?

I find christians really like to define themselves by what groups they aren't and how much better they feel about themselves because of that. Granted everyone kinda does that, its probably part of the reason that furries are still the punching bag of the internet. But I'm sure I don't have to remind you about other groups that people love to just view as perverts, like people that watch movies, people that watch cartoons, people that play video games, people that play DnD, people that read comics, people that don't have good old fashion christian values, like punching gays.
I don't know literally anyone who views people who watch movies, play games, watch cartoons, or read comics as perverts. That's basically 99% of the planet. Unless movies and cartoons are code words for porn and hentai. Those people are perverts. You can throw furry's in there too. That's what happens why your sun group invents "crinkling," "clopping," and "cubs."

You do bring up a good point about Fox wanting to punch gays.
I am gay. As are the majority of LGBT people. I don't know why you assume that religious people are homophobic by nature, but I'm growing tired of this worgen. You've called me racist and homophobic before.

Kind of like how you called me pro-slavery and against the age of consent?

You can be gay and self hating. I wouldn't have these views of you if you didn't seem to exceptionally judgmental about rather innocuous things.

So because Fox considers anime culturally damaging, you'll call him a bigot and be unapologetic for it, ignoring his own struggles that he must have had growing up as a black gay communist Christian in America.

Dude, check your privilege.

Because everybody is subconsciously worried about population explosion.
You could fill a topic's worth of this, but there isn't a population explosion.

The world's TFR is about 2.2. It needs to be at 2.1 for replacement level. Most MEDCs have sub-replacement TFR, and the only region on Earth that's set to have its population expand by the end of the century is sub-Saharan Africa.

Now overpopulation and overconsumption are both pressing issues, but for the former, it's more accurate to say that we're dealing with the aftermath of the explosion rather than a detonation occurring in real-time. It's actually documented that millennials are having far less sex than previous generations (sounds about right :(), but fear of population would be only a small part of it, if at all. Both consumption and population have to come down, but it's easier to address the former than the latter.

Or you were joking, and I wasted my time.

When have I ever implied that I hate gay individuals, or any race of people? I would like specific examples, please.

Kind of like how you called me pro-slavery and against the age of consent?
You are correct, Houseman. I apologize. I don't want to misrepresent your views. Concerning slavery, I should have clarified that you "defend Israel's system of slavery as a social safety net," that was "pretty alright," but was "not neutral or bad." Also that "you could argue that the slavery of foreign nations was justified, since they were Israel's enemies."

I never accused you of being against the age of consent. I said that that was the impression that I got. Thankfully you clarified that that was not the case. Instead your views are that you "just think the line that is drawn between "child" and "adult" is kind of arbitrary."

Please forgive my misrepresentations.

You haven't for races of people or gay people. But you regularly seem to lump together groups of people who enjoy some type of media into a mass of perverts that you judge as being beneath you. Now, maybe you don't intend to judge them as such, and if that is the case then I apologize and am willing to help you work on your wordage.

I dunno, maybe we just see sex as something intrinsically private and have no wish to intrude. Mind, we could do with a shitload less pontificating about it from hooting dickholes - one way or the other.

This thread is hilarious!

OT: But anyway, in my experience most of the taboo I encountered regarding the topic of sex in media came from the fact that most adults around me growing up were christian fundamentalists and thought it was immoral, however while there was stigma attached to it, it's never really been hard to find media related to sex, whether we're talking about movies and books that are explicitly about sex or pornography, and in the case case of film and literature many works about it are not only not found to be immoral or trashy but actually quite artful and critically lauded, to the point of often being subjects of study in academia if you're inclined to study those fields.

So I guess what I mean to say it's while there still is a certain taboo associated with depictions of sex in media, it does seems that taboo is become far lesser overtime to the point where the most popular TV show of this decade Game of Thrones featured plenty of explicit sex scenes that most people had no objection to.

That being said I don't particularly care for sex in media and do often prefer violent works, though it's likely this has more to do with me being asexual and as such very much incapable of relating to sexual experiences as even though I've had sex several times, it's not possible for me to understand what part of it is supposed to be enjoyable.
