Sounds like trump is planning on nominating someone named Amy Coney Barrett to the supreme court.

Well she is saying she has integrity and will not be a pawn if the Republicans lose the election. Time will tell.
I believe her: I'm sure she won't be a pawn.

She will entirely, of her own free will, back an agenda friendly to the Republicans on key issues. That's why they picked her. Why coerce anyone when you can just give the job to a volunteer who wants to help?

The salt-mines will have an extra-shift today.
Seems a fairly disgusting comment on what is a clearly partisan nomination to the highest judicial position in the US.

You're dealing with a woman who has demonstrated a clear agenda in har ruling, and if the first thing that springs to mind is that someone will be mad about it, and that such anger is a thing to joke about or mock, you might well find yourself not just on the wrong side of history, but on the wrong side of right and wrong.

I've always found this phrase to be a bit weird. Just what is "the wrong side of history?" There is no wrong side, or right side, it's just history. It's just stuff that happened.
More accurately, I've always found this to be a weird "threat" where people saying it are implying "when I'm in control of the narrative, I'm going to slander your actions in the past and make you out to be a horrible person", given that history is written by the victors.

Is that what you mean?

I concur, there really isn't a "right" or "wrong" side of history. People invoke that trope when they want to guilt someone.

Well, it appears the Dems had zero interest in stopping her after all.
And just what do you expect them to do?

You don’t have to be communist to want to be against fascism

Allow me to rephrase the question: How, praytell, is it the Democrats fault that the Republican party used their majority to overrule and ignore their objections, end the debate, force the vote, and then push her through, all along party lines?

Okay, let me rephrase that: what do you think the democrats could have done to stop ACB?

Yes, currently being pro-slavery is bad. But I don't know how things are going to shake out in the next 1000+ years or what historians of the future will think.

So you voted last time partially based on the Supreme Court. Are you happy with the results?
Yes.
