He's going to need some companionship for his remaining last days in prison, so I suggest this newfound sextoy.

Here's the start of Trump's fall from grace.

Watch all his enablers turn their backs on him now that he's almost certainly lost. There goes Rupert Murdoch. I'm willing to bet all those political one-time suck-ups like Lindsey Graham won't be taking his calls, either. Without power, Trump's right back to 2015 where he's nothing but a grotesque buffoon.

The GOP are probably done with any need for him, they got his rabbles votes in for this electrion.

Now his ranting and attacking the process is, if anything, calling into question all those Senate and House GOP friendly results as well.

Does it really matter?
Question from a non-US resident.

If, although 'When' appears to more likely at this point, Trump loses and refuses to concede or co-operate with the transferal of power, what happens?

Other than a civil war I mean.

It's been the Trump Party for years; it was obvious that was the way it was going since Sarah Palin. It just needed to get a leader that represented the new reality through the system.

January 21st (or whatever the inaguaration date is these year) rolls around, Biden is sworn in, and Trump just becomes an intruder in the White House whom Secret Service removes. Nobody there is going to stick their neck out for him.

Dude. You had a clear opening for "It's Always Funny in Philadelphia" or "Something's Funny in Philadelphia".

... I'm going to need your Internet Denizen ID number because I need to speak with your Manager.
I would say "Something is rotten in the City of Philadelphia"

The argument is that they were supposed to separate them but they didn't in practice.

Two things:

First, the primary goal of the petition from the Pennsylvania GOP was to STOP the counting of late arriving ballots (which Alito declined), and the secondary goal was to re-inforce the previous order from the Supreme Court to separate those ballots if they are contested in court. And state Republicans admitted they didn't know of any counties in the state that were NOT already doing that.

Second, the secretary of state said the number oflate-arriving ballots is relatively small and likley won't be a factor. Now, she could be wrong, and the state counts could be off (hello, Arizona) but given that Biden is ahead by 30,000 (and counting) and the rest of the outstanding ballots have skewed *heavily* blue, and late arriving ballots are estimated to be under 10,000 (maybe as few as 3-4,000 according to some reports) then the reasoning there seems sound.

I am curious of Pennsylvania is going to be a recount. It's at about .4 percent difference right now. If biden can edge out .2 percent more then we don't have to worry about a recount

Here's the thing a lot of people don't understand. Trump isn't going away, at least his influence. He got the second most votes out of any presidential candidate behind the person he was running against. Much of the Republican party is going to model themselves after Trump to capture that magic. Say what you will about Trump but he United the right and created a powerful Cult of Personality.

Trump is the next Reagan. The Republican party is now the Trump party
His influence isn't just being felt in America. Here we already have two thorns in our sides in the form of Peter Casey and Gemma O'doherty, running for every election under the sun while campaigning on batshit conspiracy nonsense and barely concealed bigotry because Trump has demonstrated that that shit attracts followers. Casey was the runner up in our last presidential election purely because he "told it like it is".

The far right across the world are all looking for their own Donald Trump now. We've literally had two avowedly right wing parties take it in turns for the last century and there's still a large contingent of this country that thinks our problems are because of leftists and socialism. The right has shifted so far right that largely the "left" in a lot of countries are at best center right. Most people don't even have a basic understanding of left wing politics to the point I find myself arguing about what anarchism and socialism actually are as opposed to why I think they would work. I mean Biden is being called a socialist and here in Ireland a guy so right wing even his right wing friends used to have to distance themselves from things he said is paraded as a loony lefty because he's openly gay.

interesting. The issue I read is that poll-watchers were denied access, so they couldn't provide much evidence because they couldn't observe it. If it's really this small of a number, it wouldn't really matter in the end. I'm just hyped from all the conspiracy theories the MAGA boys are shilling for, I'm mostly here for entertainment value.

I'm surprised that main steam media hasn't just called for a Biden victory. I was sure that they would just jump on the chance days ago.

But that's just a lie, isn't it?

I suspect that with the close margins in PA and GA and the fact at least two arguably jumped the gun on declaring AZ, they're just not willing to take any risks.
