Damn, and people made fun of the size shoulder pads in WoW.The aesthetic is classic early-mid 90s stuff so yeah, his take would fit right in. I do think the original Langrisser was not too far removed from these pc98 games.

While that looks nice, the prospect of friendly fire (or just a crash) makes me cringe, and the Russ on the right has a muzzle braks on it's cannon, should be spitting fire out sideways. Even without that, exposed crew next to muzzles of monster guns...not a great idea.
Considering that its 40k I don't think they care much about friendly fire as long as the expendable crew doesn't damage the valuable tanks.
