Whatever, just wash your hands.
Looks like we are getting a Legend of Mana remaster.

This is a really awesome game that is hampered by a stupid exp system, I really hope they fix that.

Nope. I don't think they will fix it. I'm still intrigued on what they may add; and it's definitely in my wishlist.

I played the Secret of Mana Remake and it was okay. Not great but it was fun enough. The Trials of Mana remake was a disaster solely because of the voice acting. However both games had a combat system that I rather enjoyed, so I might pick this up just to bridge the lore between the games and see what's what.

Yeah, voice acting in the remakes is one of their weakest points; that's why I'm glad this seems to be just an HD adaptation of the original.

The combat is a little different than the other games, and despite being easy to play, it has one of the most complex equipment tempering systems in gaming (you can finish it without using it; but you can create some ridiculously OP equipment if you know what you are doing).

I played trial of mana with jap VA so no problem there.

But yeah, kinda exited about this, the game is one of most gorgeous game in existence with a great soundtrack. The gameplay structure is interesting, no real main quest to speak of, instead a ton of small to long quest chain, many of which are interesting and deal with subject that aren't usually touched in JRPG story. The crafting system, along with the magic and side kick (build robot, raise monster) are really vast. Oh and it also has one of the most interesting ending in a franchise JRPG.

But... but... but... It's a slog to play trough, combat is slow and not particularly enjoyable, with no dept to speak of. You have to do a lot of back and forth across the same map over and over again and every time you go across an area you have to fight the same enemy. It drags. Also a couple of quest have weird requirment and you might not realize that where you place your house on the world map can screw you over 50 hour later. None of these are hard to fix, but they feel outside the bound of a remaster.
