    The Big Picture: Secret Crisis

I love how many people glaze over what's being said and slide it into what they're used to. They are ending the Marvel Universe in that they're combining it with a bunch of other universes. The continuity still exists, the characters are still the same as they've been, but some will die...

The Big Picture: The Devil You Know - Part II

To correct both of you... Recently in Journey into Mystery (A year or so ago) the devil in the above picture showed up in a meeting of the many marvel Satan's (Mephisto and such) and they explained the nature of the devils in the Marvel Universe. It's essentially a bunch of hells trying to gain...

The Big Picture: San Diego Comic-Con 2013

Avengers vs terminator... if terminator existed in a world where there's adamantium and it's possible to build Iron Man. Also, the buzz about Man of Steel, everyone I've seen talking about it (on and off the internet) except for critics loved it. I'm someone who hates what Superman did at the...

The Big Picture: Man of Tomorrow

Gotta say. Didn't find Superman to be mopey and dreary in this. The problem I had with the movie is that they should have done away with one or two flashbacks in favor of spending time with the Clark of now. What we see of Clark is usually pretty upbeat, he's pretty social, he jokes...

The Big Picture: Secrets of S.H.I.E.L.D.

It's not Luke Cage, according to someone working on the show (don't remember who, exactly). I'm hoping for Rage. Rage was entertaining the the Initiative.

Trailers: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows - Raphael Trailer

This is why I don't get the realistic aesthetic choice. Forgiving that they're giant mutant turtles and such, their movements are so over-exaggerated, so cartoony. The aesthetic seems at odds with the rest of what I see.

    The Big Picture: Miracle, Man.

I'd like to point out that the whole "Angela is coming" thing kinda dropped out of the press either before or shortly after last week's episode. What happened was Marvel said she's showing up and the nerd media went on a massive "The fuck?!" and blew it way up.

The Big Picture: A Disturbance In The Force

It's hard for me to think that this "one man" has control over kids imagination with these two sci-fi franchises when, nowadays, there are tons of 'em out there. All of the Avengers movies, plus whatever's Marvel's going to do after, the DC movies that are going to follow, the Tolkien/Jackson...

The Big Picture: The Best Movies of 2012

Damn right! Not looking forward to hearing Spider-Man hit number one and Bob going ape on it again, though.

Escape to the Movies: Killing Them Softly

Can't watch it. If we let them get away with a title just because the majority people who'd spend money on it happen to be young enough to not know the song it came from they wont stop. I don't want to watch a drug movie called "Bite the Dust".

    Zero Punctuation: Halo 4

I like how most of the problems he had with Halo are reasons I love it. I can't disagree that they're there, I think they're awesome.

    Zero Punctuation: Dishonored

I agree with the silent protagonist thing, but it's INCREDIBLY satisfying to go up to a heavily fortified area and reprogram one of their giant rocket turrets to attack the guards and just watch. Dear jebus was that fun. Plus I got to act like Corvo was Dr. Doom.

    Escape to the Movies: Argo

Poor Jack Kirby, doesn't even get credit for helping to save lives...

    Overstrike Becomes Fuse

...Two of the biggest games out there, in that they keep making money, are World of Warcraft and TF2. Both of them have a cartoony aesthetic. Why do people keep insisting on this gritty bullshit? I'm sure the game will be fun and all, the studio has a great track record, but what caught my...

    Escape to the Movies: Lawless

Jersey Shore may be cancelled, but the rest of reality TV is still there. My superiority complex is just fine.
