There may be a fine line between spin and flat out deception, but Fox News has gleefully strode far past that point long ago.
Also, I don't think I ever said that the other networks were innocent. I willing to believe that they can be just as manipulative as Fox, but I personally haven't...
You're right, but I think it's a little misguided to say that your point absolves Fox News, or even that people are wrong when they say Fox News lies. Even if all of the lies on the station are made by guests and opinion hosts, Fox News (the station) is still the one giving those people a...
Just because it doesn't have a hard drive doesn't mean it's not going to have any storage. It comes with an 8gb flash card and supports external hard drives through usb (no word yet as to whether or not it'll have ship with an external drive).
What's hypocritical is that many people are complaining about the WiiU adding the very things people were asking for with the Wii:
"The Wii sucks because it's less powerful than the other consoles"
"The WiiU is more powerful than the current gen's consoles"
"It still sucks"
"The Wii...
Actually they weren't there five years ago because the specs beat out the current generation's hardware =)
Menus would work much better on a controller because then the devs know exactly how big the text is going to appear for everybody. Perhaps you have a big screen, HD TV and perfect...
Well, you read incorrectly then. I noted that there are many good reasons why one might not like the WiiU, but thus far most of the ones I'm hearing are either hypocritical or biased. This thread was meant as an attempt to search out those arguments.
Also, re: the dual screen thing you...
I see your point, but I still think that to totally dismiss the WiiU at this point for the above reason is a little biased. You can't assume Nintendo's console will be less powerful or even that MS or Sony will release a new console soon after Nintendo. Looking at their current...
Maybe this is just me, but does it seem like most of the arguments against the WiiU are totally hypocritical, or at the very least biased? I admit this might just be the "angry Internet" phenomenon, in which the least informed people are also the ones making the most noise, but it seems like an...
As long as it's a vanity item I think they can charge whatever they want, even if they already charge subscription fees. After all, prices aren't simply set by supply (IE how much it costs to employ the animator), but by demand as well. You can't demonize a company for making money, especially...
Actually (and this was part of my earlier point), in formal debate the burden of proof rests with the person making any claim. IE saying that "the universe was created spontaneously" requires proof just as much as saying "the universe was created by a greater intelligence".
What's more, the...
The entire Middle East has long been a center of trade due to the fact that it connects trade routes from Asia, Europe and Africa. Perhaps the city of Jerusalem itself wouldn't be so hotly contested, but whoever controlled the region would still be quite wealthy and powerful. Are you still...
Well, my comment was operating under the assumption that someone actually wants a nice looking mount. If it's as desirable as a Mars bar to you then of course it's a rip-off. However, most WoW players seem to like cool mounts, so for those people the $25 mount might actually be a better deal...
To all the following people who say this is a ripoff:
$25 actually isn't that bad when you consider how long it takes most people to earn $25 in real life as opposed to how long it would take them to grind rep/older dungeons for an equally cool mount in game.
Not everyone gets vanity items like mounts for the "prestige" involved.
Can you honestly say you've never made a totally useless purchase like this? It's not that much different from someone buying a figurine of some sort, or paying extra for something because it "looks nicer" than the...
