What do you want out of a Fantasy Setting?

I have a preference for magic being present as instant and/or temporary effects and can be quite powerful, but +3 swords are pretty freaking rare. I don't mind the usual demihuman tropes, but not too typecast. For what it's worth, I'd recommend the "World of Hats"...

    Best Weapons in Videogames

I'm disappointed. Rygar's Diskarmor has been around since 1986 and is still my default for "coolest weapon ever."

Diablo II and Warcraft III Are Apparently About to Be Remastered

David Brevik weighed in on a Diablo II remake and I found his insights helpful about what's involved. If you're looking to make a Diablo II-3D, you're going to have to build it from the ground up, and quite a bit of that feel is going to be lost because of how differently the game handles...

    #145: Gloat Time

Much as I'd like to see not-Sephiroth eat some bhut jolokia flavored humble pie, I'm expecting this to get even more depressing.

    Natural 20: Party's Over - Sesaon Finale

I'll try to be patient while you plan the next season. The humor was spot on, and balanced just right to be funny and nostalgic while skillfully dodging awkward. I looked forward to this every two weeks and you've never failed to deliver satisfaction.

    Steam Sales 2016.

I'm sure game devs hate me. I don't buy on the first week because my budget is really tight and the only way to know for sure if a game is worth buying is waiting not only to see if its "good" but what makes it appealing. So for under $40CDN, here's what I added to my library: Rogue...

Good Bad Flicks: Exploring Troll Hunter

Normally I hate movies, but I think I'll look for this one periodically. I think I could sit through this one as opposed to what usually hits the venues around here.

    Natural 20: Barbarians Gone Wild

I have yet to be disappointed. I enjoyed how out of hand things became, reminds me of being both a player and DM in tamer situations of party disputes, but also familiar. Wouldn't have been as funny without all the screaming, though. These are worth waiting two weeks for if the quality...

    Bethesda Extends Free Doom Demo

When I heard it was released, I was looking for a demo and couldn't find one. While I'm happy that they're offering a demo so I can see if it's worth buying, I'm disappointed that it's still a limited time offer.

    Natural 20: Pillow Fort Adventures

There are some, typically those who play Amber, but it's because they're REAL roleplayers and not a bunch of poseurs. Kinda like DM's having significant envy over their crew playing in someone else's campaign, it's not terribly common, but it does happen. What's up with the Canadian flag on...

    Natural 20: Side Quest

This is interesting because I've never experienced DM envy before, neither as a player or a DM.

    Natural 20: An Uncommon Cold

Normally, that's what would happen if people weren't being greedy. And while Garmungus and Alara aren't being any less greedy because I don't find they're offering better reasons, it's that reaction when someone immediately calls dibs before they know how many plusses it grants "because Dex."...

    Natural 20: An Uncommon Cold

Oh, the nostalgia. I wished my gaming crew was half this funny, but I can remember similar arguments over loot. "My character NEEDS that! No! MY character needs it more! **insult* **counter insult**..." Especially where Tyrell already has a +dex cap and claiming he needs it in spite of...

Natural 20: Late to the Party

This. So much nostalgia I wished I could start my own tabletop campaign. Unfortunately, my work schedules pretty much ruin such possibilities. I agree, keep up the good work; It looks like I'm off to watch this from the beginning.

    Zero Punctuation: XCOM 2

I'd say that Enemy Unknown is worth it's present price on Steam, although I'd still earmark it for a sale, especially since X-COM 2 is suffering from MOTS syndrome. As for X-COM 2, I'll wait for a price cut and some patching before I add it to my library.
