Started doing some reading on this, since I was considering trying it. It appears they dropped the subscription, and picked up some bad reviews. A lot of players saying it isn't worth the initial startup fee. Too bad really, it seemed like an interesting game at first glance.
This reminds me of another one in World of Warcraft that bugs me. When your character drinks they always take a sip then wipe their freaking face with their entire arm! It's like they've got some horrible drinking problem where instead of getting the beverage in their mouth they splash it all...
This is my big one. You end up as Yahtzee calls it " a gun floating 3 feet in the air."
My other one is clipping issues on equipment. NPCs and enemies that aren't really "holding" a weapon, you can see they're just sort of loosely cupping an items that hovers in their hands.
You know, it is funny. When I first saw the title to this thread, before I clicked and read it; that is EXACTLY the game I was thinking about. Miner Wars 2081 was looking good. Good enough to buy, in fact. It was the news of the DRM that made me put away my wallet. A lot of people in the Steam...
I had a friend who managed a GameStop. You've never seen somebody so stressed all the time about their work. He left not too terribly long after starting to work retail management for a Radio Shack
I don't really think so. EA seems to consider themselves some sort of marketing gods, and Steam seems to stand well enough on it's own without ME3 that I'm pretty sure that it won't have some sort of.....mass effect *rimshot*
Geez, I've heard of playing to a tough audience, but that is just ridiculous. I guess I won't bother applying to them....
Mostly 'cause I have nothing to do with game development at all, but still.
I'm really quite angered at this news. I hate the concept of this exclusivity, followed by a "Wanna guess if we'll ever release it?" jab at everyone else. This isn't so much a news blip from Bethesda, it's called taunting your players.
