James is not a real movie critic. He's not even a real video game reviewer. He's an entertainer and film maker. He's not an authority on movies or video games any more than the Game Grumps are an authority on video games. James is not any more obligated to see this movie than the Game...

I don't think so. James seems really disconnected from online bullshit. He doesn't seem to have any social media presence at all. Mike Matei and some other guy run all that stuff.

Nothing that causes this much pointless discord can possibly be a good thing. A think somebody chose the form of the destroyer, and it was this film.

Of course the backstory stuff in this game makes the overall lore more confusing and nonsensical than it was before. They're just making all this stuff up as they go. There's no hidden meaning. It all means nothing.

I haven't really cared about him as an actual critic for a long time now. I've been mostly watching his stuff lately to see how he filters various things through his preconceived notions and political beliefs, and to see what inflammatory thing he says next to get everybody riled up.

Well, at least he won't be insufferable about it here.

Hard to feel any sympathy for him. For someone who fancies himself such an enlightened person, the "with me or against me" mentally riddles every fiber of his being.

Just because they say "Game of Thrones", doesn't actually mean the show will be like Game of Thrones. They want to compare it to fantasy that is really popular with the general public. They're not gonna say "Our show is going to be like Krull".
