If there was a new Metroid sidescroller...

*Sigh* It isn't about the gameplay, it's about the story. Metroid Prime told such an amazing story (Paired side by side with amazing gameplay but that's not the point here) that it overcomes any flaws thrown at it. It's an amazing story well told, and you can't argue in favor of the single...

If there was a new Metroid sidescroller...

I didn't have too many problems. You just need to learn to aim correctly with your own skills, rather than rely entirely on the lock-on.

What game would you like to see made?

... You can't have your cake and eat it to. Either you get Fantasy or you get Guns. One or the other. Mixing them never works out right.

If there was a new Metroid sidescroller...

You haven't played the other Prime games? When there's a compilation reboot for the Wii? For shame. For the record, Metroid Prime 3 really disappointed me. Like, everything in it just felt...wrong. Metroid Prime 2 did so as well to a lesser extend, but I suppose when you have to compare them...

If there was a new Metroid sidescroller...

Oh I've played some of the 2D ones. Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission are some of my favorite GBA games, though Super Metroid and the original just seem dated at this point (But I'm not allowed to criticize Super Metroid, am I? People don't like it when I point out how much better the other ones...

If there was a new Metroid sidescroller...

...You do realize that Metroid is a Nintendo IP, right? And that Microsoft can't even use the name "Samus" in anything ever, right?

    Poll: Bioware or EA?

Hrm... I'm not really sure who's to blame. I mean, Bioware is the most obvious choice, they're the developers, they write the story and build the game. So, yeah, I'm gonna say I'm much more wary about them starting to stagnate rather than EA. We already KNOW EA is retarded. It'd be comical if...

If there was a new Metroid sidescroller...

Well, speaking as someone who's first experience with Samus was Metroid Prime (Or, Super Smash Bros, but I don't count that...), I'd say... Nah. I'm not sure what direction Samus should go, but I don't think chopping a dimension is the answer.

What game would you like to see made?

    ...So Age of Wonders?

What game would you like to see made?

Aside from the obligatory "Half Life 2 Episode 3" (I can dream, can't I?), a game concept I've been working on in my head is a fully customizable pseudo-class based shooter, themed around modifying a single mechanical "Marionette" as it were, making a storyline/gameplay link for both the...

Saddest Moments in a Video Game

Dear lord. Every player should have that experience. No one should get to learn that before hand. It'd ruin the sheer emotion you should feel as a human being at the end of the game, when you see here there, dead, where you left her. ... *Sighs* Dear lord Cave Story was so well made.

Saddest Moments in a Video Game

'Course, there was kinda the scenes from the other two Prime games, namely Dark Samus's collapse after her final defeat in Prime 2, and... Well everyone seems to think of Rundas as the most tragic, but I never much cared for him, and Gandrayda's death scene had a lot more emotional weight to it...

How did you get your gamer name?

Doragon Shinzui was an old, old, OLD OC of mine from a...Naruto fanfiction (Don't hate me, I was thirteen, I didn't know better.), while my Xbox Live Gamertag is The5lacker, which is a pun off of my last name, Slack.

An Xbox 360 Version of Super Smash Brothers

...And no one's mentioned the Kid from Bastion? For shame. Final Smash: Sexiest narration ever. Every other player's minds get blown out of the backs of their skull. You're welcome.

Saddest Moments in a Video Game

I've got a pair of good ones that really hit me hard. 1. The end of Bastion. Actually, the entirety of Bastion. That game has the emotional weight of a small planetoid, and is probably the most melancholy game I've ever encountered. 2. Not quite as weighty, but the end of Metroid Prime. Yeah...
