In Her Name: A Pokémon RP (Recruitment Thread)

I hope the fact I'm a lurker on these forums does not count against me, though I shall understand if it does. Inventory: Tent Archaeological equipment (e.g Brushes, Trowel, etc) Fossil fragments Safety helmet (with detachable torch) 5 Escape ropes 3 Pokeballs 1 Great Ball 5...

Cast Your Vote for the Greatest Game in Escapist History

Why include Oblivion and Skyrim, but not Morrowind? It's like making a 'Greatest Beatle Ever' contest, and leaving out McCartney. :/

Videogame characters you share your name with.

The only thing I can recall coming closer to is the 'Adam', the energy thingy that you harvest in Bioshock (it's been a long time, and I didn't own it, so the details are sketchy). Anyone know any others? There is also 'Vlad', the first major Antagonist in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Your home town's claim to fame

Charles Darwins birthplace. Pretty good, I'd say!

    (Skyrim) Why so hastily ?

Because they've done just that. They've taken the 30 hours of Main Quest to get immersed, and roleplay their characters, their Dovakin (sp), who would do the Main Quest urgently, and not waste time with side-quests. If Dragons were fucking shit up in England, I wouldn't waste time looking around...

    things you'd like to see

Emilie De Ravin and Tulisa Contostavlos re-enacting the lesbian scene from Wild Things. In chocolate. Forever.

Final Day of Steam Autumn Sale

Just do what I intend to do, and pick up the WWII games in the Christmas sale, hopefully at quite a cheap price! The stories (including the MW series, excluding Black Ops') are quite good, but aren't worth the full price.

Adorable 3 Year-Old Experiences Harsh Justice in Skyrim

"Lions don't want to be sword" & "People don't want to be sword" - both quotes sum up perfectly why being a parent is the only truly great thing any of us shall ever do.

Things that piss you off...in movies!

Unnecessary deaths. I was watching the Jurassic Park series the other day, and had to wonder, why did Udeksy have to die, and Eddie too? I know they're disaster films, but I can't help it, I like people! I agree it's annoying when some major parts are cut from the films (e.g some of the...

Final Day of Steam Autumn Sale

Only got Vanilla New Vegas, and the DLC civ's for Civilization V. Can anyone recommend Thief: Dealy Shadows, or Magic: The Gathering? Or should I just save my money for a mad spending spree during the Christmas sales?

    Short but sweet games

I'm likely going to receive some raised eyebrows here, but I enjoyed the storyline of the Modern Warfare games. Unbelievable? Yes, but not many shooters take you around the world twice!

    Objectively good, subjectively bad

Uncharted. Looks beautiful, and I found it so very... ugh. Only bought the second, and didn't finish it, though I had a fun watching my cousin fully playthrough Uncharted 3 one day last week. Would make a better movie, though I have doubts that it would be a very good one. In both the...

How is Bethesda going to handle Skyrim's expansions?

You didn't play Mothership Zeta, did you? Anyway, less Fallout-expansions, where everything happens off from the main bulk of the world, and stays in Skyrim. I don't want to leave Skyrim in DLC, I want to leave it in the next Elder Scrolls game. I'd prefer something similar to Bloodmoon, or...

Who are the bad guys in The Elder Scrolls?

I didn't say they weren't provoked, but they could've been a 'good guy' race, and of offered aid to the Dumner, guiding the way towards many hundreds of years of peace.

Who are the bad guys in The Elder Scrolls?

Lets not forget that the Black Marsh (Argonians) invaded Morrowind, right after their country was crippled by a Volcanic eruption, and the Nords and the Orcs were attacking before that. Every race seems to have it's 'bad guys' stages.
