I can't get over the feeling that this movie seems really contrived to me.

I dunno, the whole thing just sounds like something one would read on The Onion. I have no faith in this project at all.

Personally I find the cross guard thing to be gimmicky, but it doesn't bother me so much that it turns me off the new movie. One of the worst defenses I have seen for the cross guard lightsaber is that it would have possibly saved Luke's hand...no way.

Meh, I was moderately interested in Evolve, but now I am not interested enough to spend money on it. Played the betas a bit and there just wasn't enough game there for me the price. Add to that the Day 1 DLC and I will just spend my gaming money elsewhere.
