    Whatever happened to happy endings?

I like happy endings, but then again I'm generally a happy guy who likes people.

    The Escapist Ban-hammer

As someone who doesn't visit here frequently I find this to be one of the strictest boards I've ever been on. Yes yes, having standards is a good thing, but it's a bit excessive here. Although I got a feeling it's not the mods but more the annoying regular users who wish they were mods...

The worst thing about your favourite games?

Oh, I almost forgot: Devil May Cry 4 - having the second half of the game be a mirror of the first. Not even playing as Dante makes up for it.

    Poll: Favourite Soft-Drink

I'm like Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton, I've loved soda since I was young. My favorite variety is just plain pepsi, though I usually drink diet since that's the kind that gets bought in my house. But other than that I love milk and water, and gatorade after doing anything physical. It's like that...

The worst thing about your favourite games?

Ninja Gaiden, any platforming parts. First off the camera is your main enemy in these parts and he's damn near one of the toughest enemies in the game. Also, Ryu sometimes doesn't listen to you and instead of running along the wall, he'll run up it, and backflip into a volcano.

    Poll: Graphics VS Games!

Well, we do have a thread on a very similar subject on the front page, but whatever. Video games are developed in response to the needs of the consumer base. As such, people like graphics so the developers focus on graphics. It's not a critique on people, just people like pretty things, and...

Which characters have the most ridiculous videogame hair?

Hahah, I just imagined him taking off his skull cap, and having a jrpg spiky multicoloured hair cut just kinda magically pop out.

Are graphics killing the gaming industry?

Well, your comparison is quite biased. The Killzone 2 pic is from the 2005 or 06 trailer, which was cg, using capacities 'similar' to the PS3's specs. The Gears of War pic is a press pic which always look better because they're taken without any gameplay proceseses running, i.e. just the...

    Coolest Badass in a game.

Ryu Hayabusa. Every single enemy this guy encounters can kill him, but he out maneuvers and out kills them first. Most characters can breeze through lesser enemies, but Ryu's lesser enemies are so far above most games, so much more badass themselves, that only someone truly badass like Ryu could...

    The Bullshit of Namco.

That's the trade off. Same thing that is happening with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Sure, the PS3 version is getting a lot of extra goodies, but then again, they're getting it a year after the 360. Frankly I like it, (not just because I have a PS3) it's better than just releasing the same exact...

Is left 4 dead worth buying?

I have to agree. Left 4 Dead in concept sounds like an absolute blast, but the actual game was just boring for me. I played it with my friends and we stopped after doing the first campaign. It all just feels so 'samey' just shoot horde of zombies, kill special zombie, progress a little bit...

Poll: Class-Based Load Out or Weapons On The Map?

I like how Killzone 2 does it. Class based, but most classes have access to at least 2 different starting weapons. But, every class can use every weapon, provided you find one left by a dead player. So an engineer starts with a shotgun, but can take a fallen player's sniper rifle or grenade...
