Thoughts on the film aside, I do quite like that the "small budget" model of only spending $1-5 million (without a serious dip in acting or production quality), with a much greater chance of recouping, is slowly coming back.
I think its nice that someone can finance and produce a "slick" film...
Even our consumer watchdogs think its Foxtel's fault:

It always amazes me that a company that is so in touch with what we want to watch, is so out of touch with how to get it to us. Probably the most progressive/conservative content provider ever.
