it depends on your country a low end pc (that will play most multi platforms) is about £300-400 (i dont know about pre biult ones i biuld my self) but a PS3 is £300 so unless i impotrt form the states the cost diferance is neglagable but a pc has games and more and more still while a ps3/xbox360...

i agree with alex here the pc has never been stronger although it has been severly weakend (cripled?) in the 'mainstream' front due to what i see as over hype of piracy (it is easyer to do on a pc as no hardware mods are required) although i expect that most 'pirates' probably would not buy/pay...
