    Sequals. Yay or Nay?

The way I see it, there are two simple ways of looking at whether or not a sequel is wanted or needed. First, economics. I don't mean hoity-toity political economics (which is bullshit), rather the science of what people want and what they will do to achieve those goals. If a video game can...

Your favorite small features in a game

I really love how weighty and definitive the main menu button sounds are for Dota 2. The bass sounds from clicking along the tabs at the top of the screen (Play, Learn, Community, etc.) gives them a real satisfaction when clicked. It makes you want to click around the menus, which is a very...

The Five games that define you as a gamer

    1) Super Mario Bros. for the SNES. This was the first videogame I ever played, and I spent SO much time on it as a child. My parents began to restrict my hours to one per day or as much as I want on rainy days. I fell in love with videogaming. 2) Unreal Tournament GOTY. Now this game was my...

How do you change when drunk?

I turn right around. Sober me is pretty relaxed. I'll just chill and fit right in. Tell a few jokes and take it easy. I'm pretty social. When I'm drunk, on the other hand, I get really solitary and just want to be away from people.

    Star Wars Episode 7

I'm really on the fence about this. On one hand, there should not be any more movies. If there's one thing that NEEDS not to be modified, it's the Star Wars film canon. The games, merch, kids shows, etc. are all peripheral to movies I-VI. They can dick around with the peripherals as much as they...

At the Expo: Diversity and Togetherness

There were cameramen from The Escapist filming it, and I do remember them saying something about it being available at a later date for those who missed the Expo or who wanted to relive the concert a bit. You're in luck, gentlemen!

Bethesda Has "No Timeline" for Dawnguard on PC and PS3

Don't take Microsoft's bribes anymore, Bethesda! You're really just better off not submitting to the "timed exclusive" bullshit. Satisfy everybody with great content rather than satisfying 360 owners and pissing the rest of your fans off. Let's just all be happy. You also have enough money.

    Inspiring or Motivational Tunes

This is a pretty inspiring and epic song, too. Your post reminded me of it.

    Inspiring or Motivational Tunes

Ah yes, Gurren Lagann! That reminds me of Death Note because they're both some of the few animes I've seen. Death Note has some fantastic music, and L's Theme and Light's Theme both fit into some pretty epic motivational songs. I'll listen to them while I'm drawing, usually.

    Inspiring or Motivational Tunes

Let's discuss what kinds of music (or specific songs if you have any) get you particularly pumped or motivated to conquer whatever you find yourself facing. It doesn't have to be limited to motivation, let's discuss songs/genres that you'll listen to while you're working out, doing homework...

which major developers arent with Steam?

Ohhh Bungie! I would love to have Halo games available on Steam. I was highly disappointed when Halo 3 wasn't available on PC.

which major developers arent with Steam?

Yeah, Blizzard is the main one for me. However they do a great job of keeping it patched, and battle.net is a good service, so they don't quite need steam. I run Starcraft II through steam though, so I can get the overlay and continue to chat with my friends while the game is up.

    Bots In Multiplayer Gaming

Now that's an absolutely fantastic thing. There's been a departure from real couch-based multiplayer for a few years now, and I think taking the online community and integrating it with the "couch community" will be excellent.

    Bots In Multiplayer Gaming

I was unaware of this! That's excellent. Doesn't Black Ops have an online splitscreen feature as well?

    Bots In Multiplayer Gaming

An excellent reason. For example here, there's Counter-Strike 1.6. It's been replaced by CS:Source, but there's a certain charm to the older version. There are lots of bot mods available. Here's an idea: If a dev decides to "pull the plug," I think it would be worthwhile add a patch or cheap DLC...
