It really depends on the games art style and genre. if a FPS had awful graphics, it would become unplayable, whereas a story heavy RPG can forego certain visual enhancements to allow for more content. It could also be argued that some games have such outlandish art styles that better graphics...

I would probably replace one of the darkstalkers characters with ken. 3 female Darkstalkers characters seems too many, and Ryu without Ken is a crime against nature!

well the current generation of consoles has been around about 6 years now, and a good game usually takes 2 years to go from development to release, so the maths works out. but marvel VS capcom is 7-8 years overdue.
