    Learning a language through games.

When I go through my "I want to re-learn or widen my German knowledge" phases, I like to play games in German where I can. Of course I try to play through or at least memorise the menu options first, so I know which words roughly translate. I've also tried to learn a video game language (as...

    Poll: Video Game Soundtracks

I own a couple of soundtracks, my favourite being FFX's. I'm open to listening to the soundtrack of any game I'm playing, and generally won't switch it off unless I am roleplaying, such as in Skyrim, or I find it particularly annoying. It doesn't matter whether it's in English or in any other...

The best book your school made you read?

I got to read Dracula and Frankenstein in my English classes (The latter was for part of the exam) and I've since been given a Barnes and Noble Leatherbound edition of Dracula and bought my own copy of Frankenstein. They were probably the best two.

Starting up a New Vegas Playthrough

Wild Wasteland might be a fun perk to go with, the few 'events' and such that appear could certainly apply to the drunken part of it all. Perhaps clothing wise you could choose one or two pieces that aren't necessarily useful, but ones that you might pick up and wear when drunk. I'd make...

The satisfying weapon you've used in a game recently

I have to say that my Dragonbone dual-enchanted Bow on Skyrim is great fun to use (archery in general is to be fair).

What would your career be in The Elder Scrolls?

Looking for books (modern fantasy, sci-fi/cyberpunk)

I heartily support the Dresden Files and Codex Alera. One series I'm thoroughly enjoying lately is the Split Infinity books by Piers Anthony (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apprentice_Adept) - a mix of sci-fi and fantasy - two worlds connected (one more sci-fi and one more fantasy) which can be...

Poll: Your opinion on School Uniforms.

The problem I faced with uniform was the cost. At one of my secondary schools it was a blazer, ties, shirts, most of which were colour and badge specific to that school. In my last year at secondary (Year 11) we had a completely different uniform from the years below, which is all well and good...

So, what are you gonna do if the world is gonna end tomorrow

Prep some presents for Christmas, watch some TV, probably play some Okamiden. If it ends, it ends but it's a load of tosh.

Songs that are stuck in your head

Khajiit like to Sneak, Gangnam Style and the Nick and Karen Song (Brett Domino Trio). My brain hurts.

    More university dick moves...

We don't even have labs and we're supposed to be doing a BSc in Archaeology and Forensics. We did 2 hours a week of Forensic 'theory' last year and that's been it. And they changed the degree to award a BA but call it a BSc. My dissertation will be interesting at least. I hate to whinge about...

    More university dick moves...

Funnily enough, that's what my degree is supposed to be. Shame I learnt more at A Level. Definitely got taught more.

    More university dick moves...

We have one week left of term and of the three lectures I have, one of them is a workshop for the essay due about two days after, another is another workshop for the essay due two days after (both of which are supposed to be 3 hour lectures) and one is a review session because that's the...

    More university dick moves...

I too am at Exeter. And fully regret coming here. We do have slightly more hours than boots, but in no way do I feel we get our money's worth. That's without tacking on the cost of living here. The glass roof mentioned has since leaked (leading to flooding in the new building) and the revolving...
