The First Monthly "Parade of Avatars!"

This is part of a drawing that my brother made of my main WoW character. A tiny Forsaken engineer. <3

    Zero Punctuation: Wolfenstein

Best review ever. That was glorious. I didn't think that he'd be able to keep it up for the whole review - rhyming in English is hard. And looking back he's right. That entire review, content-wise, was nothing new. More of the same "linear, levels are all brown and gary, side missions are...

A quick look at how Escapist users post

There's one trend I noticed that you might not have picked up on. Threads that ask for an opinion (What tastes good on toast? What's your favourite colour? What's your idea of a night out?) get more posts per view than others. That is, people who view them are more likely to post than someone...

    Zero Punctuation: Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.

Hey, who stole the stream? All I get is a StreamNotFound error. I can't watch it and be enlightened if I can't find the stream. D:

How Did You Make Up Your Name?

Krelle's my character's name on wow. I just made the name up. I used to go by Katicarnius but I'm kind of tired of that nick, tbh. It's so 2001.

    Is everything fair in love?

She said, "Things are gonna go The way that they're supposed to go." But I say, "No, things are gonna go They're only gonna go." -Wide Mouth Mason, "Always Never Only" Are you hot and famous? O_O

PETA Protests Seal Slaughter in World of Warcraft

Nessingwary will be the boss you have to kill to make Arthas spawn in the final instance. You wait and see.

    Is everything fair in love?

I always thought that the expression "all's fair in love and war" applied to love as the contest for getting the girl, sort of thing. Not that anything you do is fair in the context of a loving relationship: more that if two people are competing for the affections of a third, nothing is out of...

PETA Protests Seal Slaughter in World of Warcraft

Nathan, would you object less if we only killed adult seals? Why is killing older seals any less-bad than killing the ones that are a few days old? That's the best time to get them - before they start eating fish. No, seriously. I'm not trying to be offensive or shocking. It really is. We...

PETA Protests Seal Slaughter in World of Warcraft

Yes. Thank you. Let's run away together and make babies and teach them to hunt seals. (edit - sorry for double post. Lonan posted while I was hunting down urls. Hunting them down like seals. .. all right I'll stop. I've beaten the joke to death. Like a-! Heh.)

PETA Protests Seal Slaughter in World of Warcraft

The whole thing is pretty unclear. If they're just trying to get people talking about them, though, I guess it's working. PETA should stage a rally at the DHETA site and march to warsong hold. It's a pity that they're not on a pvp server, though, so that folk could grief them. Fark linked an...

    Your worst joke

This kind of thread must be a bigger headache than usual for the mods, but I've been chortling over the whole thing. :D How do you make a honeymoon salad? Lettuce alone with no dressing. What lies on the bottom of the ocean floor and shakes? A nervous wreck.

You know you've been on the internet to long when...

When you get up (it was to go to the bathroom I swear!) and pause to look out the window and admire the rain effect on the concrete.

Poll: Who is your favorite Watchmen character?

Rorschach was the only actual superhero in that movie. Everyone else compromised their morals / was a bad guy / went to Mars. If that movie had every scene without Rorschach in it cut out it would have made for an awesome 45 minutes instead of an almost cool but ultimately overhyped three hours.

The illusion of "social skills" and my personal opinion on the matter.

Korolev makes some good points. Joining a club that reflects your interests is a solid way to meet people who share them. A little-talked-about fact is that it's really hard to make friends as an activity by itself. People bond over shared work. So when you're in a club, getting stuff done...
