HEY! Who wants to play bubble breaker?!

Wherever our beacon shines shall exist the possibility of color in these forums.

    New Code of Conduct

No problem with long term archiving, but re-hosting content that's still getting traffic so our ads don't pay out is not something I will assist, as it's hard enough to get this place to pay for itself. Same thing as ad-block discussion rules. Ads are unfortunately the most reliable way to pay...

Beware: Latest Nvidia GeForce Driver Thoroughly Borked

As I said, "in my experience" I have heard of very few such cases. Very few ("not that it doesn't happen" + "far from common") being different then none. I've dealt with a lot of computers, and with support systems that have dealt with thousands more, and ATI driver issues far outweighed any...

    New Code of Conduct

Odd, I have you flagged as a possible ban jumper, and you already had mod action asking you not to be rude. The mods are your friends. I, on the other hand have zero tolerance for people adding tedium to my life or theirs.

    New Code of Conduct

To be fair, I almost perma-banned you immediately when you emailed my boss directly about some forum shit (twice I think?), and the mods talked me down (multiple times even, every time you're stressing them out I offer). ;)

    New Code of Conduct

Those kinds of posts, while sometimes helpful to new people (who confirmed they read the rules), are almost always irrelevant to the actual discussion and can derail or otherwise clutter the thread (compounding the original post with other posts that aren't relevant to third parties...

Beware: Latest Nvidia GeForce Driver Thoroughly Borked

This is literally the first critically bad Nvidia driver issue I can remember seeing in over 15 years of various kinds of tech support and other kinds of computer involvement. Not that it doesn't happen, but it's FAR from common to have this level of breakage from Nvidia in my experience...

Beware: Latest Nvidia GeForce Driver Thoroughly Borked

I've had several systems bricked or otherwise screwed up by patches, where I'm now at the point where I don't willingly patch anything (except for security emergencies) unless the patch has been out for at least two weeks. It's just not worth the potential hassle, and Quality Assurance (beta...

    Reactionary

Best comic yet, the writing in particular seems to be of a much higher standard then the majority of the previous strips. Well done sirs, it's always great to see such marked improvement!

How long have you been coming to the Escapist?

Yeah, it went right from 2006 to 2008 :D I was here a couple years before I had to make an account for something on WarCry.

Don Verdean & The Ridiculous 6 - Two "Comedic" Atrocities

*gives Ridiculous 6 four stars on Netflix because it actually made me laugh multiple times* It's not a "good" movie as far as overall execution/"Acting", but it made me and several other people who rarely audibly laugh at things actually laugh. Like you said, it's a series of skits, and has...

The Moral Dilemma of Self-Driving Cars - Save the Driver Or Others

Everything in the same system is incredibly easier to maintain and safely fail out of then when there's uncontrolled and unknown variables. Systems start to break when human randomness gets involved, and the redundancy of multiple systems mutually distrusting while still working together will...

The Moral Dilemma of Self-Driving Cars - Save the Driver Or Others

There's no way I'm ever (voluntarily) driving in a machine that prioritizes killing me over anyone else. There's also no way I'd ever want to use an automated vehicle unless every other vehicle on the road is also automated, as that swarm coordination is where the true benefit resides.
