Zero Punctuation: Paper Mario Color Splash

I think the only reason Sticker Star did as well as it did was brand recognition; the first three Paper Mario games were good, so Sticker Star should be as well. Because it was not as well-received, that is why there is so much bias towards Color Splash as opposed to those saying it is...

Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice Review - Disorder in The Court

Ehhh... I would not. I am a fan of both series, but I did not care for that crossover. It felt like someone took two half-finished games and stuck them together. It has an incredibly weak story for an Ace Attorney game that relies WAY too much on contrivances and pseudo-science, and stretched my...

Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice Review - Disorder in The Court

I found the marketing of this game to be lacking. I did not even know this game was being released in the States until three days ago by chance coincidence.

Zero Punctuation: Furi & Song of the Deep

I am reminded of Anna's Quest, a point-and-click adventure game about a big-headed child wherein when of the themes is how cold and cruel the world can be. It is developed by Daedalic Entertainment and is quite good. It could be considered the Yin to Song of the Deeps's yang.

Ushio to Tora is a recent anime at 39 episodes. It is a shounen whose strength lies in it's cast.

The PSVita: Is there anything good to play on it?

Severed is a good choice off the PSN. It is a first-person, metroidvania, hack n' slash with a beautiful design. You can cut up Cthulhu spawn and feed on their remains to grow stronger.

Games Where The 'Antagonist/Villian' Wins (Or Was Right)?

I might be stretching it a bit, but Link to the Past, the Oracle games, Awakening, and the first two Zelda games all take place in the timeline where Ganondorf wins in Ocarina of Time.

    Really cool video game manuals

I remember reading the Donkey Kong Country Manual when I was bored sometimes, if only for Cranky Kong's little quips peppered throughout. One of them was, "You're only reading this because you're bored!"

Poll: How do you like your meat cooked?

I sit perfectly in the middle because of my parents. My father likes his steak cooked to the point where it is just short of being considered charcoal and my mother makes the joke "I want my steak rare, R-A-W."

Zero Punctuation: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

What I am curious about is Yahtzee's opinion of the Bowser sections. He has been stated that Bowser is one of the more intriguing characters in the Mario-verse. Each section is fun even if half of them are just walking and talking. The other half of them are retro platforming levels where you...

Zero Punctuation: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

One of my favorite parts of TTYD is Hooktail Castle, because you are given clues on how to defeat the boss throughout said castle from various sources. I bring this up because boss fights was one the biggest failings of Sticker Star, where you needed to precognition in order to now what item to...

Poll: What would you do with your dream super power?

I would want superpowers explicitly for mundane utility, so I would want hydrokinesis and/or geokinesis for cleaning. Manipulate various cleaning liquids to help me clean dirt and/or manipulate the filth itself by moving it to all to the garbage.

8 of the Most Influential RPGs Ever Made

Influence is relative. For me, Final Fantasy 6 was far more influential than 7 was, mainly because I played 6 sooner and more often than 7. They are quite similar with their dark tone, cast of characters, and both did have moments of levity.

    Is handheld gaming underrated?

For various reasons, I never played Castlevania:SotN, Xenoblade Chronicles, Tales of the Abyss, and most of the 8-bit Megaman games when they first came out. Thanks to re-releases and old game shops, I can play them again. While they can also be played on a console, I have always preferred the...
