Cult films that are actually good?

I watched Terry Gilliam's Brazil about a week ago, expecting typical cult quirkiness. I got a movie that, although strange, was absolutely epic as a sum of its parts.

Poll: Women and Lovers of Women: Which female body shape do you prefer?

I think I'd take hourglass out of those 4, though I'd hardly say its something I seriously consider "in the field." Height, on the other hand, I do care about. Being a short guy (I'm talking like Paul Simon short), I typically aim for 5 foot 3 or shorter.

Best game this year so far

My vote goes to Witcher 2, long enough to make me satisfied with the price, but still interesting throughout, if only for the brilliant, if somewhat convoluted, storytelling. Catherine and Portal 2 were both amazingly fun and refreshing, and I absolutely do not regret the purchase, but I...

Poll: Your "cup of tea" in terms of Graphics

I like the whole vibrant, realistic look that both Just Cause 2 and Witcher 2 seem to pull off fairly well. I also kinda prefer the simple, but colorful look that terarria and braid have if the game is 2 dimensions.

How do you like your pizza?

I've tried many pizza's with what seems to be hundreds of toppings, and honestly I just seem to like a simple pizza with white cheese and crunchy tomatoes the best.

    Minecraft or Terraria?

They appeal to two completely different types of play, obviously. Minecraft will appeal to the same feelings you feel while playing with legos. If you liked legos when you were a kid, or still do, definitely check it out. It is really a unique experience that few other games, aside from dwarf...

PC Gamers - help a complete noob!

You're video card would certainly chug on oblivion on high settings, but your rig should be able to hand anything last year or older on at least minimum settings. My guesses on quality Counter Strike: High Minecraft: High (duh) COD 4: medium Oblivion: medium Fallout 3: low-medium...

Best graphical effects in a game

While playing it, I felt witcher 2 had some pretty sick lightning effects. Other games might have done it better, but right now that game is in my recent memory.

    Poll: School of Magic

Teleportation, absolutely, because it is the easiest one to use in the real world without being hunted for being a witch. No more commute, no more flights, no more driving to gamestop.

What is the best singleplayer game of all time.

I'm a big fan of the metal gear solid series. Forced to pick one, I'd say the third is a contender for best singleplayer game.

What are your fears? An (hopefully) evergrowing list of all the escapists fears!

Rear-ending someone on the highway. Fuck that would be awkward. I have had more than one bad dream about rear-ending some southern confederate stereotype and then waking up when they pull their 12 gauge out.

    Left 4 dead wars

Most of the hate that people lined up against the game had the most strength before the game released. People were simply upset and speculative that Valve had rushed out a game too quickly after the original game, eschewing the normal long-term support they give to their multiplayer games. I...

how do you think you would go in a real life warfare

If I was being forced into some foreign war, I'd draft-dodge. If the enemy was actually on our home soil, I'd be willing to aid the war effort, join the secret resistance, write propaganda pieces, etc. I'd probably be do my best to stay uninvolved in the actual fighting, naturally.

    Music to fall asleep to

This. Nothing like some post-bebop to make you feel like some strange beatnik.

    Poll: Borderlands or oblivion

I would say definitely go with Oblivion, especially if you are more into RPGs, as your post states. Sure, Borderlands allows for some character progression and possesses a fairly deep loot system, but, while it is a shooter first and foremost, Oblivion is unadulterated RPG. Regardless of...
