James Spader Cast as Ultron in Avengers Sequel

Oh thank god!! I always get him confused with David Spade, the little blond twat from Rules of Engagement. "What the fuck were they thinking!?" But Spader is a pretty decent actor, so I suppose I'm on board with that.

Why do documentaries about space suck?

You should watch the BBC ones with Brian Cox Wonders of the Solar System/Universe. If you can get over the fact that he looks a bit like James Blunt, it's very good. Gets the message across quite well and uses easy analogies for people who don't want to get too technical. Worth a watch!

    Are you Patriotic?

Hmmm....kinda saddens me when I see this sort of thing about Ireland. I guess I've always thought that, while the country is FAR from perfect, the good really outweighs the bad. Sure, we can moan about the recession, politicians, bankers, weather, general scumbag carry-on that passes for...

Game of Thrones S3 Ep9 Expectations: (Careful, for the thread is dark and full of spoilers)

Can't wait for it personally, but 1 thing that's bothering me... This season was apparently supposed to be the 1st half of Storm of Swords, but Tyrion and Sansa's wedding (in episode 8) was pretty close to the end of the book, I'm just thinking that if this season had maybe 12 episodes that...

    Poll: Mermaids

Hmmm....probably not. Even though evolution throws some pretty unusual stuff together, I just don't see it happening! Some of the mermaid tales, apparently, stem from sightings of manatees and types of ray by sailors....lonely....lonely sailors! There's a creature from legends here in Ireland...

    Interesting facts

Thomas Midgley jr. was the guy who added TEL to gasoline (leaded petrol) which made cars run slightly better, but had terrible effects on the environment....he also developed the earliest types of CFCs which were worse again! AND... If you were to stretch out every strand of DNA in you...

    Poll: Virginity. purity, innocence

I think your own virginity is really the only one that should matter, and there is a lot of pressure about losing it and it has to be "perfect" blah blah.... (But if you're the experienced one and the other girl/guy is a virgin, than you should treat it as your 1st time again. It's a big...

Serious Relationships: What made you go from casual ones?

This is probably the only thing you need to realize. Speaking as someone who never really went for anything long-term with regards to womenfolk...Last year I fecked off to Australia with some friends, on a lads mission to tear shit up! Few months pass and I'd met an Israeli chick, went...

You know you live in [Blank] when [Blank]!

You know you're from Ireland when it can rain for 40 days in a row and still be considered a good summer. (Also whenever you meet someone from another country they can be genuinely surprised that you're not drunk!)

0% on the Star Wars quiz

Boom! 9/10! Ranked 170.....and not by random guessing! .....what am I doing with my life? I don't even like this feckin franchise anymore!!

Ever Watched A TV Episode That Pissed You Off So Much You Quit Watching The Series?

I know... It's all part of the plan! Ya see, the Fox execs who canceled it will be in there with me, and then.....REVENGE!! (Happily hell-bound just to retaliate for the show and all the other Browncoats!)

Ever Watched A TV Episode That Pissed You Off So Much You Quit Watching The Series?

Just once...it was after like the 13th episode of Firefly, and I just thought "This is just awful...I don't think I can watch any more of this!" Terrible characters, the script was painfully un-funny, the plot was all over the shop....some guy called Jayne?? It was too much! It upset me so...

Say One Thing About The Country You Live In

Ireland "And let grief be a fallen leaf at the dawning of the day" "Tread softly, for you tread on my dreams" "Wherever green is worn, Are changed, changed utterly: A terrible beauty is born" "An aged man is but a paltry thing, a tattered coat upon a stick" "Behold me now with...

Science stuff that blew your mind when you first heard of it

One thing that really blew me away was something Bill Bryson mentioned in his book A Short History Of Nearly Everything: ?It is a slightly arresting notion that if you were to pick yourself apart with tweezers, one atom at a time, you would produce a mound of fine atomic dust, none of which...
