Depends, if you loved DS1 as much as someone (like me) did, DSII is a slap in the face. If you thought DS1 was alright, then you should think DSII is alright. Also keep in mind, a lot of the reason DSII is hated is because it failed to deliver on its promises.

Yeah put me down for Dark Souls. Whenever I see a fantasy action game I just sort of sigh and know that it likely won't be able to match Dark Souls. FEAR, that game ruined FPS games for me, for me the only other FPS that is at all close to it is Wolfenstein The New Order.
