I read this as the standalone version that just came out works fine on its own.
However, if you purchased MW Remastered as part of the earlier IW bundle, it doesn't magically become the standalone version. It still requires IW to be installed.
AtGames has been an official licensee for 10 years now, making the Flashback Atari consoles, with an improved one coming out this year (with actual HDMI output rather than composite).
$10 says it's not hardware at all, but rather a loot crate type deal.

Someone on my local FB buy/sell/trade group is trying to sell one for $1,000. I realize I'm not the target audience for this (as I have the *entire* NES collection available on several devices already), but what would possess anyone to pay that much?
It's the sexual aspect of the furry culture that squicks people out. While I realize that subset doesn't represent the furry thing as a whole, they've been visible enough to taint the entire group to those who don't know better or don't care to investigate further.
