Bob, you say gamers should be happy that some good talent is going to be making a VG into a movie instead of complaining that they arent doing it right. You dont once seem to adress that some of these people may be complaining because they dont think it should be done at all.
Well, good point. I guess it didn't register since I would never play that kind of game. I have a feeling Microsawft isn't interested in the games I play. And I have a feeling that GFWL is going to have as much impact on the world as Zune.
Most of it is innocuous- so they're trying to get women into gaming more, and expand their casual appeal. That's all well and good.
I don't think Microsoft is going to have much affect on PC gaming as a whole- you don't have to use Games for Window Live- or whatever they're calling it...
Visuals matter, I'll agree.
Graphics is a loaded term. Do we mean poly counts, texture resolution, lighting engine and all that?
I'll take the compelling visuals of Braid, Okami, or world of goo over a military shooter with "superior graphics" any day.
seems weird. The whole point of playing games on a device like that, imho, is not having a joystick. If I wanted that experience I'd play on a device that did have one.
And 30 bucks? Way over priced.
This is not an age of empires game. Not at all.
I have no problem with new games being made, but for fluck's sake don't blaspheme older series just to sell your new thing.
