I might be remembering wrong, but I seem to remember the majority of Dragon Age 1 party members being very mortal and/or miss-able (can't speak to the other 2 games).
Not even counting the end of the game possibilities:
Leliana can be told to bugger off, or be killed when you defile a...
"You might want to hold a fishing net in front of you or something because when you hear this your eyes might just roll out of your head-"
Ok, I'm prepared
"Coal Black"
...I was not prepared.
I think part of the problem with figuring out a way to untangle dialogue from major effects on the game (such as gating content, even if it doesn't affect stats directly) without making it seem hollow and unimportant is because in real life what you say and how you say it matters so much. Even...
That's a matter of perspective isn't it? If someone cares mostly about the shooting+powers gameplay then it probably doesn't make it unplayable or affect it much at all. But some people pay for a game like this with the expectation it will immerse them, and it's really, really hard to stay in...
Maybe spending money on big-name celebrities and sets like this isn't the best idea right after you hiked the price. Blizzard just seems like they're trying to poke the beehive at this point.
I don't know if 'missed' is the right word when he wrote right in the end card he's not putting up with 'true ending' bollocks. While we can debate the merits of whether someone producing content should or shouldn't be obligated to it until we're blue in the face, personally I'm getting real...
I can't agree with the logic of this post, at least in terms of specifically the video-game industry.
One, between the costs of certification processes and the fact the console owner takes a giant swath of the income, a developer selling on steam even at a massive discount is still seeing as...
Oh what a bullshit excuse. I'm not trying to underplay how severe I think online harassment is, but in this specific case:
1. You're not a teenager posting selfies on Facebook, you're a god damned corporation who has to do it if you want to not have your game crash and burn.
2. After all this...
Blame the certification process of getting on to various platforms, especially consoles. Everything that goes on to, say, Xbox for example has to go through an immensely long and expensive certification process to ensure it meets whatever requirements Microsoft says something must meet to be...
Fingers crossed that Priest gets stronger without reaching Shaman levels of ridiculous, and hopefully in a way that boosts its anti-aggro power rather than its anti-control power. I shudder at the thought of every game being a Shadow Madness (and its new little sister)/Cabal Shadow Priest/Mind...
I don't understand any of the comments calling them greedy, woe are the other people on the development team, etc. The voice actors are willing to actually roll the dice on their future to be treated better. The idea of 'well everyone gets treated like shit except CEOs so you should too' baffles...
Exactly what 18 damage Doomhammer combo is being referred to?
Doomhammer(2+2=4) + Rockbiter(3+3=6) + Rockbiter(3+3=6) = 16 damage. And it can still be done at 9 mana (5+2+2), or split over multiple turns.
I assume this meant the Al'Akir+Rockbiter+Rockbiter Combo
As for comments on the nerfs...
Well that's a relief, I mean, coding problems have never gone horribly wrong because some executive who knows shit-all about system engineering said to do something 'as fast as humanly possible', right?
